USJ reveals first look at actors for The Apothecary Diaries character greetings
Universal Studios Japan (USJ) will feature character greetings as part of its event, “The Apothecary Diaries Mystery Walk ~Investigate the Mysterious Medicine~,” starting from July 1st.
“The Apothecary Diaries Mystery Walk ~Investigate the Mysterious Medicine~” is an interactive puzzle-solving experience based on the anime series The Apothecary Diaries.
The Apothecary Diaries, has gained a significant following for its compelling story centered on Maomao, a young woman working as an apothecary in an imperial court, who uses her extensive knowledge to solve mysteries.
Universal Studios Japan is a prominent theme park known for its immersive attractions and entertainment, often collaborating with popular franchises to create unique visitor experiences.
A range of attractions based on The Apothecary Diaries was revealed earlier this year, with themed food and merchandise also available for fans to enjoy alongside interactive attractions like the Mystery Walk.
Participants in the Mystery Walk will join Maomao to uncover the truth behind a “mysterious miracle drug.”
The event culminates in a special greeting session with both Maomao and Jinshi.
During the greetings, attendees will have the opportunity to see Maomao and Jinshi up close and observe a conversational skit between the characters.
As a memento of their participation, guests will receive a special bookmark directly from Jinshi.

The “The Apothecary Diaries Mystery Walk ~Investigate the Mysterious Medicine~” event at Universal Studios Japan starts on July 1st.
Maomao and Jinshi will appear approximately hourly in front of the “The Dragon’s Pearl” restaurant.
