The Elusive Samurai television anime is set to return for a second season in July 2026, as announced during a stage event at Aniplex’s AnimeJapan 2026 booth on March 28, 2026.
A brand-new key visual featuring the tagline “I escaped, I survived, and I had fun!” was unveiled to promote the upcoming broadcast.

Fans can also look forward to a rebroadcast of the first season starting on April 17, 2026, on the Fuji TV Noitamina block in Japan.
The series follows Hojo Tokiyuki, the rightful heir to the Kamakura shogunate, who must flee and survive after the government falls due to the betrayal of Ashikaga Takauji in 1333.
A special trailer highlighting both the first and second seasons was released to celebrate the news of the summer premiere.
CloverWorks is returning to handle the animation production with Yuta Yamazaki serving as the director.
The creative team includes Yoriko Tomita for series composition, Yasushi Nishiya for character designs, and music composed by Akiyuki Tateyama and GEMBI.
The anime is based on the manga by Yusei Matsui, which first launched in Weekly Shonen Jump in January 2021 and has since reached 23 volumes in Japan.
Crunchyroll is currently streaming the first season of the series for international audiences while VIZ Media handles the English publication of the manga.
