Singer and songwriter Masayoshi Oishi has released the music video for his 17th CD single titled Kimi wa Koibito on his official YouTube channel.
The track serves as the opening theme song for the second season of the anime series The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten which premiered in Japan on April 3, 2026.
This release marks Oishi’s second contribution to the franchise following his work on the Season 1 opening theme Gift in 2023.
Kimi wa Koibito was made available on digital streaming platforms on April 3, 2026, while the physical CD single is scheduled for release on June 3, 2026.
Oishi described the new song as a mid-tempo melodic track intended to celebrate the evolving relationship between the main characters.
The production of the second season features Chihiro Kumano as the new director at studio project No9 replacing Lihua Wang.
Returning staff members include series composer Keiichiro Ochi and character designer Takayuki Noguchi.
