Sudden Strike 5 Comes to PlayStation, Xbox, Switch and PC on April 23

Publisher Kalypso Media and developer KITE Games have officially announced that the real-time strategy title Sudden Strike 5 is scheduled to launch on April 23, 2026.
The upcoming entry in the long-running series will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC through both Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Set during the historical conflicts of World War II, the game features a comprehensive 25 mission campaign spanning across battlefields in Europe and North Africa.
Players can command over 300 authentic units, which include 190 different vehicles and 110 infantry types such as the Allied Sherman tank, the German Messerschmitt Bf 109, and the Soviet T-34.
The Standard Edition of the game is priced at $49.99, while a Deluxe Edition is available for $59.99.
Those who purchase the Deluxe Edition will receive the original soundtrack, two exclusive player-versus-player maps titled Mercato Square (Night) and Belarus Fields (Winter), and over 80 unique vehicle skins.
Console players on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series who opt for the Deluxe Edition can benefit from 72 hours of advanced access prior to the April 23, 2026 release date.
PC users purchasing through the Kalypso Store are offered an exclusive price of $4999 for the Deluxe Edition features.
The gameplay emphasizes tactical depth, requiring users to manage supplies and seize strategic locations like Field HQs and Train Stations to gain reinforcements.
Customizable Commanders allow players to tailor their approach using offensive, defensive, or tactical skill sets to influence the outcome of massive battles.
Sudden Strike 5 also introduces extended camera options for better strategic oversight and supports competitive play against either AI or human opponents across various difficulty levels.
