Square Enix Reveals Final Fantasy Resonance Collector’s Edition

Square Enix has unveiled the Collector’s Edition for Final Fantasy Resonance, offering a selection of physical bonus items alongside the newly announced HD-2D role-playing game.
The premium package accompanies the first main Final Fantasy project to adopt the HD-2D visual style, blending pixel-based character artwork with modern lighting and richly detailed environments.

Rather than serving as a remake of an existing title, Final Fantasy Resonance has been described as a fresh interpretation of the franchise’s classic identity, combining traditional concepts with contemporary RPG design.

The game features turn-based combat enhanced with updated gameplay mechanics while retaining familiar elements closely associated with the series.

Players can expect the return of iconic features such as chocobos, airships, and espers, alongside appearances by notable characters including Cloud, Tidus, and the Warrior of Light.

Its narrative takes inspiration from the opening storyline of Final Fantasy Brave Exvius but has been extensively rebuilt into a fully realized console RPG with an expanded structure and presentation.

The centerpiece of the “Final Fantasy Resonance Collector’s Goods Box” is a collection of exclusive physical merchandise designed to celebrate the game’s visual style and broader Final Fantasy legacy.

Fans will receive a set of acrylic display blocks featuring pixel-art depictions of characters, summons, and bosses from the game.

Also included is a 120-page hardcover art book showcasing in-game artwork and illustrations connected to the series and a four-disc soundtrack containing 120 music tracks from the game.

The Collector’s Goods Box also contains a promotional Final Fantasy Trading Card Game card featuring Dark Fina.

For fans interested only in the merchandise, the contents are also available separately through a standalone Collector’s Goods Box that excludes the game itself.

Final Fantasy Resonance is scheduled to launch on Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam and the Microsoft Store on October 22, 2026.

The standard edition is priced at €59.99 (approx. $69 USD/ £51 GBP), while the Digital Deluxe Edition is available for $59.99 (approx. €52/ £44 GBP) and includes additional in-game content alongside the base game.

The “Final Fantasy Resonance Collector’s Goods Box” with the game included is priced at €219.99/$209.99 (approx. £188 GBP), while the standalone Collector’s Goods Box is available separately for €150.00/$150.00 (approx. £128 GBP).
