Square Enix reopens pre-orders for Final Fantasy themed Chocobo playing cards
Square Enix has announced that it has reopened pre-orders for their popular “Chocobo Trump” playing cards, following high demand.
These charming playing cards put the spotlight entirely on the adorable and ever-popular Chocobo, the quintessential bird companion from the Final Fantasy universe.
Each card in the deck features unique and delightful illustrations of Chocobos, bringing a touch of Final Fantasy themed fun to every game.
Adding to their collectible appeal, the “Chocobo Trump” deck includes newly drawn illustrations, notably for the Joker cards, and the reverse side of each card also sports a distinctive Chocobo icon, ensuring that even when the cards are faced down, the Chocobo theme is unmistakable.
The deck measures approximately 62mm x 92mm x 22mm, consistent with standard playing card dimensions.
The “Chocobo Trump” playing cards are priced at 1,980 yen (tax included) and pre-orders are currently being accepted, with the official release date for this re-ordered batch set for September 13, 2025.
