Square Enix Opens Orders for Exclusive Chrono Trigger Orchestra Concert Merch
Image by Charlotte DavisSquare Enix has officially opened pre-orders for a new range of exclusive Chrono Trigger merchandise created for the return of the game’s 30th anniversary orchestra concert.
Seven new products make up the collection, including apparel, practical accessories and display items based on the “CHRONO TRIGGER Orchestra Concert: Melodies Across Time”.
Chrono Trigger originally launched for the Super Famicom and Super Nintendo in 1995, with its time-travelling story, memorable cast and soundtrack helping it become one of Square’s most celebrated RPGs.
Music has remained an especially important part of that legacy, with Yasunori Mitsuda’s soundtrack including tracks such as “Chrono Trigger,” “Wind Scene,” “Frog’s Theme” and “To Far Away Times”.
The “CHRONO TRIGGER Orchestra Concert: Melodies Across Time” was originally created as part of the game’s 30th anniversary celebrations and performed at Tokyo International Forum in January 2026.
Its production combines a full live orchestra with memorable scenes from the game, recreating Crono’s journey through a mixture of music and footage from the original adventure.
Following the strong response to those Tokyo performances, Square Enix has confirmed that the concert will return in Osaka during February 2027, with a range of exclusive merchandise set to be available both at the venue and online for fans who aren’t able to attend.

The “CHRONO TRIGGER Orchestra Concert: Melodies Across Time Tote Bag,” priced at ¥2,750 (approx. $17 USD / £13 GBP), offers a practical accessory featuring artwork associated with the concert.
The “CHRONO TRIGGER Orchestra Concert: Melodies Across Time Hand Towel,” priced at ¥1,980 (approx. $12 USD / £9 GBP), is one of the smaller pieces of exclusive merchandise in the lineup.
The “CHRONO TRIGGER Orchestra Concert: Melodies Across Time Mug,” priced at ¥2,860 (approx. $18 USD / £13 GBP), adds another practical collectible based on the anniversary event.
The “CHRONO TRIGGER Orchestra Concert: Melodies Across Time Art Board,” priced at ¥2,530 (approx. $16 USD / £12 GBP), turns the concert’s artwork into a dedicated display piece.
The “CHRONO TRIGGER Orchestra Concert: Melodies Across Time Pin Set,” priced at ¥2,200 (approx. $14 USD / £10 GBP), provides another smaller collectible created specifically for the orchestral performances.
The “CHRONO TRIGGER Orchestral Arrangement: Melodies Across Time Acrylic Diorama,” priced at ¥3,850 (approx. $24 USD / £18 GBP), completes the collection with a layered display piece based on the orchestral project.
The returning “CHRONO TRIGGER Orchestra Concert: Melodies Across Time” will be performed at the Grand Cube Osaka Main Hall on February 12 and 13, 2027.
Pre-orders for all seven concert-exclusive products are now available through the Square Enix e-STORE until October 9, with purchases open to fans regardless of whether they will be attending the Osaka performances.
Orders placed during the advance sales period are scheduled to begin shipping from February 3, 2027.
Square Enix has also opened an advance ticket lottery for the Osaka concerts through the e-STORE, with applications available until September 14 and successful applicants due to be contacted from September 24.
The ticket sale is being handled as a lottery rather than on a first-come, first-served basis, with all seats reserved and successful e-STORE applicants receiving special picture tickets.
Square Enix has also recently launched a wider range of new Chrono Trigger merchandise, revealing 16 new products including Frog, Robo and Nu plushes, gaming mouse pads and acrylic stands.
