Square Enix Brings Back Kingdom Hearts’ Sold Out Official Trading Card Collection

Square Enix has reopened pre-orders for its official Kingdom Hearts trading card collection, giving fans another opportunity to chase a huge 228-card lineup covering characters and artwork from across the series.
Kingdom Hearts has spent more than two decades combining original Square Enix characters with worlds and familiar faces from Disney, following Keyblade wielder Sora as he travels alongside Donald Duck and Goofy while repeatedly crossing paths with friends including Riku and Kairi.

The “Art Museum” trading card collection was originally announced in May 2025 before launching in Japan on August 30 of the same year, with Square Enix now producing another run rather than creating a new second series.

Square Enix has confirmed that the returning version contains exactly the same cards as the previous release, making this a straightforward re-release for anyone who missed the collection the first time around.

The cards turn official Kingdom Hearts artwork into a large collectible gallery, featuring Sora, Riku and Kairi alongside Donald, Goofy, members of Organization XIII and characters encountered throughout the different Disney and original worlds.

Artwork from multiple points in the franchise’s history is included, giving the set a much broader scope than a collection centered around a single Kingdom Hearts game or group of characters.

There are 228 cards to collect in total, divided between 90 Normal Cards, three Another Normal Cards, 18 Hearts Rare Cards, 90 Premium Cards, three Another Premium Cards, 18 Hearts Rare Premium Cards, four premium-only Kingdom Rare Cards and two Special Cards.

Several of the rarer designs also use foil finishes, adding another element to the hunt beyond simply finding every character and piece of artwork represented in the collection.

The re-release is being sold as a complete 20-pack box, with six randomly selected cards inside each pack for a total of 120 cards per box.

That means even a full box cannot contain all 228 designs, and Square Enix specifically warns that buying one does not guarantee a complete collection.

The Kingdom Hearts / Art Museum BOX, priced at ¥11,000 (approx. $69 USD / £51 GBP), returned to pre-order through the official Square Enix e-STORE in Japan on August 19, with purchases currently limited to 10 boxes per customer.
The new production run is scheduled to ship on December 26, 2026.
