Sonic Racing Cross Worlds announces BEYBLADE X collaboration

Sega has announced a new collaboration between its upcoming racing title, Sonic Racing Cross Worlds, and the latest generation of the popular battle top toy, BEYBLADE X.
This partnership will bring the world of the modern “beigoma” to the high-speed racing action of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise.

BEYBLADE is a globally popular toy line from the manufacturer Takara Tomy, which began in 1999.
The latest iteration, BEYBLADE X, introduces a new “X (Extreme) Dash” gimmick that allows the tops to accelerate to incredible speeds, evolving the toy into a “GEAR SPORT” that is exciting for both players and spectators.

This focus on speed makes it a natural fit for the world of Sonic the Hedgehog.
The collaboration will be featured within the new racing game, Sonic Racing Cross Worlds.

Five different in-game “BEYBLADE X Stickers” will be available for players to use to customize their racing machines.

These stickers will be available in the game from its launch day and in addition to the in-game content, a real-world promotion is also planned.

Special collaboration-themed stickers will be distributed at future events where both Sega and BEYBLADE X are being exhibited.

Further details regarding these events will be announced on the official social media accounts for both franchises at a later date.
Sonic Racing Cross Worlds is a new racing game that features a large roster of characters from the Sonic universe.

It includes both local and online multiplayer for up to twelve players and features a soundtrack that includes an opening theme by Busted’s James Bourne.

The game is scheduled to be released on the 25th of September for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, with a PC release on the 26th of September, 2025.
A Nintendo Switch 2 version is also planned for a later date.
