Shikhondo: Blue Pieta Reveals Voice Cast and Initial Screenshots

Publisher CFK and developer DeerFarm have officially announced the new side scrolling shoot em up game Shikhondo: Blue Pieta, complete with a fresh Steam page and the first set of screenshots.

This upcoming title serves as a sequel in the Shikhondo series and transports the action to modern urban environments including a large city, a subway station, and a theme park.

The narrative follows two protagonists as they hunt fantastical beasts and Youkai across these meticulously detailed stages.

Players will utilize the Soul Collect system, which encourages high risk gameplay by allowing them to graze enemy bullets to charge a power gauge for devastating attacks.

The developer has confirmed an all star voice cast featuring Ikumi Hasegawa as the rookie grim reaper Chae Woori and Yoshino Aoyama as the vampire hunter Layla.

Sayumi Suzushiro joins the cast as the boss character Sister Maria, with full voice acting planned for the entire experience.

In terms of gameplay variety, the title will include a standard Arcade Mode for the story, a Boss Rush mode for continuous combat, and a Custom Mode for personalized challenges.

Technical features include support for ultra wide 32:9 monitors to provide an expanded view of the bullet filled battlefield.

Shikhondo: Blue Pieta is scheduled for a PC release via Steam in the first half of 2026.

Following the initial PC launch, the game is slated to arrive on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and the successor Switch 2 at a later date.
