Sanrio’s FamilyMart collab returns with a second wave of adorable Famichiki themed plushies

The second wave of a popular collaboration between the Japanese convenience store chain FamilyMart and the Sanrio Characters has been announced.

The new product line is a series of mascot keychains themed around the store’s famous and beloved brand of fried chicken, “Famichiki.”

This new collection features five different Sanrio characters dressed up in a FamilyMart staff uniform.

A key and charming feature of the new items is that each of the mascot keychains also comes with a small, dedicated pouch that is designed to look exactly like the paper bag that Famichiki is served in.

The lineup for this second wave of the collaboration features a new cast of characters.

The five characters in the new collection are:

  • Hello Kitty (Gyaru ver.)

The Hello Kitty in this collection is a special “gyaru” version, which features a hibiscus flower in place of her usual ribbon.

The mascot’s ball chains can also be threaded through a hole in the Famichiki pouch, allowing the two items to be hung together.

This new release offers a unique and charming fusion of the beloved Sanrio characters with the real-world branding of one of Japan’s most famous convenience store foods.

The new “Famichiki x Sanrio Characters Mascot Keyholders” are exclusive to the FamilyMart Online store.

Each of the five different keychains is priced at ¥2,480 (approx. $17 USD/£12 GBP).

Pre-orders for the new collection began on Tuesday, the 16th of September, at 10:00 AM Japan Standard Time via the official FamilyMart Online store.

The pre-order period is scheduled to run until the 6th of October, 2025, with the items scheduled to be picked up in-store in February 2026.
