Rurouni Kenshin’s Shishio Makoto to become a Nendoroid

During its recent “NENDOROID FUNS” livestream, Good Smile Company announced the upcoming release of a new figure based on the popular anime and manga series, Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Kenkaku Romantan.
Nendoroid Makoto Shishio will recreate the iconic antagonist from the series in a somewhat cute chibi form.

Rurouni Kenshin (also known as Samurai X in some regions) is a historical fiction manga series written and illustrated by Nobuhiro Watsuki, which later received successful anime adaptations and live-action films.
Set during the early Meiji period in Japan, the story follows Himura Kenshin, a former assassin who has vowed never to kill again.
Makoto Shishio is one of the series’ most prominent antagonists, a ruthless and scarred former government assassin who seeks to overthrow the Meiji government and plunge Japan into chaos.

His complex character and significant role in the Kyoto Arc make him a memorable figure within the franchise.
Nendoroids are a line of small, articulated figures known for their super deformed (chibi) aesthetic, featuring oversized heads and expressive faces.
These figures are highly customizable, offering interchangeable face plates, body parts, and accessories that allow collectors to recreate various poses and iconic scenes.
The announcement of Nendoroid Makoto Shishio means fans will soon have a stylized, poseable version of this formidable antagonist to add to their collections.

Collectors can anticipate accessories that highlight Shishio’s signature bandages, his Mugenjin sword, and possibly fire effects to represent his combat style.
While specific details regarding the Nendoroid’s accessories, pricing, and exact release date were not immediately provided during the livestream, fans of Rurouni Kenshin and Nendoroid collectors can now look forward to further updates on this release from Good Smile Company.
