Sanrio’s Latest Collab Sees Hello Kitty Become a Giant Transforming Robot
Takara Tomy has brought two of its popular brands together with a new collaboration that transforms Hello Kitty’s delivery truck into a Jobraver robot, while also giving the Sanrio icon a role in the accompanying anime series.
Jobraver is Takara Tomy’s transforming robot toy line that combines realistic working vehicles with humanoid robots known as Jobroids, allowing children and collectors to recreate rescue, construction and transportation-themed missions through interchangeable vehicles and transformation mechanics.
Hello Kitty, one of Sanrio’s most recognizable characters, has been entertaining fans around the world since her debut in 1974 and continues to appear across games, animation, merchandise and collaborations spanning everything from fashion to automobiles and consumer electronics.
The new collaboration introduces the “Carry Braver Hello Kitty Express Truck,” a special edition release based on Hello Kitty Express, the fictional delivery company run by Hello Kitty that transports happiness and apples across its deliveries.
The set combines the “Hello Kitty Express Truck Armor Vehicle” with a Transport Jobroid, allowing the vehicle to transform into a fully equipped, approx. 20cm tall, Jobraver robot that blends the colorful look of Hello Kitty with the mechanical styling of the long-running toy series.
A number of exclusive accessories are included to expand display and play possibilities, including glove-shaped weapons for both hands, a Hello Kitty mask, a Ribbon Drone, decorative cargo boxes, stickers and additional transformation components.
The collaboration also extends beyond the toy itself, with Hello Kitty making a special appearance in Episode 6 of the currently streaming anime Special Combined Robot Jobraver: Joker’s Counterattack, giving fans another way to experience the crossover.
Like other entries in the Jobraver series, the set has been designed for interchangeable play, allowing collectors and younger fans alike to combine different Jobroids and Armor Vehicles across the lineup to create their own custom robot combinations.
The “Tomica Jobraver TJBEX Carry Braver Hello Kitty Express Truck” is priced at ¥4,180 (approx. $28 USD / £21 GBP) and is available through Takara Tomy Mall, toy retailers across Japan, Tomica Shops, major online retailers and select physical Sanrio stores, as well as the Sanrio online shop.
