Pre-orders to re-open for GU’s sold out Chiikawa Summer Collection

Japanese apparel brand GU has announced that select items from its sold out ‘Chiikawa Summer Collection’ will become available to pre-order again this June.

Chiikawa, a creation by illustrator Nagano, has gained significant popularity for its endearing characters and whimsical, often relatable, everyday scenarios.

The franchise features the titular character Chiikawa and their friends Hachiware and Usagi, whose adventures range from mundane tasks to encounters with unusual creatures.

The Chiikawa series frequently collaborates with brands and other series, with a recent collaboration with Sanrio gaining particular attention.

This latest collaboration with GU brings the characters’ charm to summer apparel, offering fans a new way to incorporate the series into their daily life.

The collection centers on the theme of “Chiikawa’s Summer Vacation,” integrating various summer motifs and scenes into its designs.

The online pre-order period for this limited collection will run from Monday, June 2nd, 2025, at 12:15 PM JST to Sunday, June 8th, 2025, at 11:59 PM JST. Orders can be placed via the GU online store.

Pre-orders will conclude once the allocated quantity is reached, even if before the stated end date.

Items will be shipped as soon as they arrive, so if you’re lucky enough to get hold of any of the items in the limited resale, you may receive them sooner than the dates listed.
