Pokémon is teaming up with Polaroid for a colorful new 30th anniversary collection, turning Pikachu, Sylveon and the iconic Poké Ball into special-edition instant cameras alongside matching film and photography accessories.

The limited collection contains nine products in total and has been described by Polaroid as its biggest collaboration to date, with the range designed around both full-size instant photography and the smaller Polaroid Go format.

Pokémon is celebrating 30 years since the original Pokémon Red and Green games launched in Japan in 1996, with the anniversary already producing collaborations across fashion, collectibles, food and technology throughout 2026.

The Polaroid partnership takes a more hands-on approach to the anniversary by giving fans Pokémon-themed cameras that produce physical instant photos, backed by film packs that add character artwork directly around the resulting pictures.

Leading the collection is the Polaroid Now Camera Generation 3 – Pokémon Edition, priced at $139.99 USD / £129.99 GBP, which covers the larger camera in the familiar red and white colors of a Poké Ball.

The Now Gen 3 retains Polaroid’s two-lens autofocus system alongside self-timer and double-exposure modes, producing the brand’s classic full-size instant photographs rather than the smaller format used by the Go cameras.

Pikachu gets its own Polaroid Go Camera Generation 3, priced at $99.99 USD / £89.99 GBP, with a bright yellow body and Pokémon-themed detailing that turns Polaroid’s smallest instant analog camera into one of the collection’s most immediately recognizable releases.

A second Polaroid Go Camera Generation 3 inspired by Sylveon is also priced at $99.99 USD / £89.99 GBP, switching to the Fairy-type Pokémon’s pink and blue colors for a softer alternative to Pikachu’s yellow model.

Both Go Gen 3 cameras retain features including a built-in selfie mirror, stronger flash, updated lens, self-timer and double-exposure mode, while producing compact instant photos using Polaroid Go film.

The cameras are joined by Polaroid Color i-Type Film – Pokémon Edition, priced at $22.99 USD / £21.99 GBP, which uses character-themed borders around full-size instant photographs and includes custom darkslides carrying Pokémon silhouettes.

Separate Pikachu and Sylveon editions of Polaroid Go Color Film will each be sold as double packs priced at $24.99 USD / £21.99 GBP, allowing owners of the smaller cameras to match their photographs to their chosen character.

Each Pokémon film pack also contains a custom darkslide, the protective card automatically ejected when fresh film is loaded, with Polaroid turning these normally disposable pieces into collectible Pokémon silhouette designs that can be tracked through a member account from September 29.

Three Poké Ball-inspired accessories round out the collection, including the Polaroid Go Camera Case priced at $24.99 USD (approx. £19 GBP), a matching Go Photo Album priced at $24.99 USD (approx. £19 GBP) and a Camera Strap compatible with both camera formats priced at $14.99 USD (approx. £11 GBP).

Special Pokémon packaging has also been created across the range, extending the collaboration beyond the cameras themselves and giving collectors another reason to keep the boxes after opening them.
