Persona 5: The Phantom X Gets Official Limited-Edition Sake Collection

Japanese sake brand HINEMOS has announced a brand-new collaboration with Persona 5: The Phantom X, introducing a limited-edition collector’s set inspired by the hit RPG’s newest cast of Phantom Thieves.
The latest collaboration marks HINEMOS’ second partnership with the Persona franchise following last year’s Persona 5 Royal collection, which featured character-inspired bottles based on Joker, Violet, Crow and an exclusive Morgana mini bottle.

HINEMOS has built its reputation around a unique concept that names every sake after a specific time of day, with products such as “SHICHIJI (7:00 PM)” designed to accompany different moments throughout the day.

That time-based philosophy once again complements the Persona universe, where balancing everyday life with mysterious adventures remains one of the defining themes of the series.

Persona 5: The Phantom X is the first mobile and PC entry in the Persona franchise, which has now surpassed 30 million copies sold worldwide across the series.

The story follows a new protagonist whose ordinary life is disrupted by a dazzling nightmare before he becomes entangled in a series of supernatural incidents that shape his journey through an unfamiliar world.

For this latest collaboration, HINEMOS has created three completely original sake recipes designed to reflect the personalities and stories of the game’s featured characters while encouraging fans to continue experiencing the world of Persona beyond the screen.

The premium tasting set includes three exclusive 170 ml bottles featuring Wonder, Phoebe and a dual Joker & Wonder design, alongside a specially produced 55 ml soda glass shot glass decorated with an exclusive collaboration logo and presented inside a custom-designed collector’s box.

The limited-edition packaging has been designed so that the featured character artwork remains visible through the presentation box, creating a display piece before the set is even opened.

Unlike traditional sake bottles that rely on paper labels, every collaboration bottle uses a direct screen-printing process that permanently applies the artwork onto the glass itself.

Because the designs are printed directly onto the bottle, collectors can wash and reuse each bottle after enjoying the sake without worrying about the artwork peeling away, making them suitable as long-term display pieces, decorative items or even flower vases.

Each bottle also contains a completely original sake recipe created exclusively for this collaboration rather than adapting an existing HINEMOS product.

The Wonder Edition is an 8% alcohol red sake that balances gentle sweetness with a crisp finish to represent the protagonist’s hidden passion, while the naturally coloured beverage should be refrigerated after arrival and protected from prolonged sunlight to preserve its appearance.

The Phoebe Edition is a 6% alcohol nigori sake that combines a light, amazake-inspired sweetness with subtle acidity that develops into a deeper finish, reflecting the character’s gentle yet resilient personality.

Completing the collection is the Joker & Wonder Edition, a 15% alcohol Junmai Daiginjo sake that blends a smooth flavour profile with fresh fruit-like notes to represent the meeting of the two protagonists.

The accompanying shot glass features an exclusive collaboration logo created specifically for this release, offering both a practical way to enjoy the sake and a compact display item for Persona collectors.

The collaboration continues HINEMOS’ philosophy of creating approachable and distinctive sake styles, ranging from low-alcohol and sparkling varieties to cloudy nigori and uniquely coloured brews that make it easy for newcomers to discover different flavour profiles.

Pre-orders for the limited-quantity Persona 5: The Phantom X Special Tasting Set open through the official HINEMOS online store from 8:30 PM JST on June 24, 2026, with deliveries expected to begin in late July 2026.
