Panasonic Announces Resident Evil Requiem Gaming Neck Speaker
Panasonic has officially announced a new collaboration with Capcom to celebrate the release of Resident Evil Requiem, offering a special edition gaming neck speaker.
The “Gaming Neck Speaker SC-GNW10S Resident Evil Requiem Edition” integrates the world of the survival horror game into Panasonic’s high-performance audio device.
This collaboration aims to provide players with a new level of immersion by combining 4-channel surround sound with custom features tuned specifically for the game.
Resident Evil Requiem is the latest entry in the renowned franchise, following FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft and veteran agent Leon S. Kennedy as they face terrifying threats.
The game is designed to offer two distinct experiences, contrasting the trembling fear of the unknown with the exhilaration of overcoming death.
The SoundSlayer’s base model, SC-GNW10S, is highly rated by gamers for its ergonomic comfort and low-latency wireless connection, which are essential for long play sessions.
This special edition introduces a new “Horror Mode” which emphasizes low-frequency sounds and spatial expansion to heighten the tension and fear found in the game.
The sound quality has been officially certified by the Capcom sound team to ensure it accurately reproduces the intended atmosphere.
The device features the game’s “Bloody Red” colour scheme and includes the Japanese Resident Evil Requiem (Biohazard Requiem) logo on both the main unit and the transmitter.
A unique start-up sound featuring a motif melody from the game has been adopted to build anticipation the moment the device is turned on.
The dedicated app and packaging also feature images of the devastated Raccoon City, ensuring the theme is consistent across all aspects of the product.
The “Gaming Neck Speaker SC-GNW10S Resident Evil Requiem Edition” is priced at 35,200 JPY (approx. $240 USD / £190 GBP) and it is set for release in Japan in late February 2026.
It will be available via the official “Panasonic Store Plus” website, as well as other electronics retailers, with sales planned to continue until the end of February 2027.
