Orders Open as Char Aznable's Sazabi Joins the Metal Robot Spirits Figure Line

Bandai Spirits has announced the start of orders for a new release that adds one of the most iconic mobile suits from the Gundam franchise to one of their premium figure lines.

The “METAL ROBOT Spirits <SIDE MS> Sazabi” is a highly detailed replica of the iconic red mobile suit that famously served as the personal unit for Neo Zeon leader Char Aznable in the 1988 theatrical film Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack.

The classic movie serves as the grand finale to the bitter, decades-long rivalry between Char and Earth Federation ace pilot Amuro Ray.

This upcoming figure follows the recent release of Amuro’s Nu Gundam in January, allowing fans to finally recreate their legendary final clash in stunning detail.

The figure stands approximately 16 centimeters tall and utilizes a combination of ABS, PVC, and heavy die-cast metal parts.

These die-cast elements are strategically laid out across the body to provide a satisfying sense of weight while still allowing for incredibly dynamic action poses.

The signature red coloring is meticulously applied using a refined color scheme to elevate the visual information and match the original animation perfectly.

Over 40 finely printed markings are scattered across the armor to further enhance the overall realism of the formidable machine.

Collectors are provided with a massive arsenal of weaponry, including a beam shot rifle, a beam tomahawk, a shield, and a massive long rifle.

The box also features an assortment of five left and six right interchangeable hand parts to grip the various armaments.

Comprehensive translucent effect parts are included to showcase the beam sabers and beam tomahawk in active combat states.

The mobile suit’s famous funnel weapons can be displayed in both their stored and deployed forms using the six included funnel units and dedicated thrust effect pieces.
