Japan to host X Games 2025 in Osaka this summer

The X Games, the most anticipated international action sports event, is coming to Osaka!
For three days from 20th (Fri) to 22nd (Sun) June, top athletes from all over the world will gather at Kyocera Dome Osaka to take part in a variety of skateboarding, BMX, and Moto X (freestyle motocross) events.

The X Games is a historic event that began in the United States in 1995 and is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.
It has attracted a total of more than 6 million spectators in 13 countries around the world, and the footage is distributed to 500 million households in 192 countries around the world through the sports channel ESPN, and continues to attract a lot of attention from all over the world.
X Games Osaka 2025 is scheduled to feature 11 events across three sports.

Of these 11 events, three are attracting attention as Olympic sports: Skateboard Street Men’s and Women’s, Skateboard Park Men’s and Women’s, and BMX Park Men’s.
Other events scheduled to take place over the three days include:
- Boys’ Vert Skateboarding – A popular and traditional skateboarding event.
- BMX Flatland – Events where competitors show off their incredible tricks using a high level of balance.
- BMX Street – Competitors compete on a course that mimics obstacles found in the city (streets) (handrails, stairs, etc).
- Moto X – A competition focused on spectacular tricks on freestyle motocross bikes.
The much anticipated Osaka-Kansai Expo 2025 will also be open during the same period that the X Games are running, so there will be plenty of attractions to see around the city.

The Expo is expected to bring a large number of visitors to Osaka, potentially including US President Donald Trump.
Osaka is known for its lively streets, warm people, and above all, its food culture.
Visitors will be encouraged to enjoy Osaka cuisine during their stay, savoring dishes the city is known for such as takoyaki, okonomiyaki, and kushikatsu.

In addition to historical and cultural tourist spots such as Osaka Castle and Dotonbori, they can also visit the Umeda and Namba areas, which have undergone large-scale urban development in recent years.
The X Games will be taking place at the Kyocera Dome Osaka, which is easily accessible from the center of Osaka.

In addition to the sporting events, a variety of other events are planned to take place around the X Games which will include live music, food festivals, and art events.
