Open Beta for Outward 2 Is Now Available

Nine Dots Publishing and developer Nine Dots Studio have officially launched the open beta for Outward 2, which is now available for PC users via Steam.
This testing phase began on Sunday, June 7, 2026, and is scheduled to remain open until Monday, June 22, 2026, at 1 PM EST.
The sequel to the popular survival action RPG returns players to the harsh world of Aurai, emphasizing a grounded experience where players control an ordinary traveler rather than a legendary hero.
Included in the beta build are features such as online and split screen cooperative play, a work in progress character creator, and the La Rescapée region.
Players can engage with survival mechanics including hunger, thirst, and temperature management while exploring over ten dungeons and facing more than fifteen types of enemies.
The development team is using this period to gather community feedback on combat responsiveness and gameplay stability before the game moves into its next phase.
Following the conclusion of the open beta, Outward 2 is slated to launch in Early Access on July 7, 2026, across Steam, the Epic Games Store, and GOG.
To celebrate the launch, a community contest titled Explore Aurai is running until June 22, 2026, offering participants the chance to win early access keys.
Minimum system requirements for the title include a Ryzen 3 1300X processor, 8 GB of RAM, and a GeForce GTX 960 graphics card, with a Potato mode available for lower end hardware.
While the beta is currently limited to the English language, the full release aims to expand upon these systems based on the data collected during this live testing window.
