Official Cyberpunk 2077 Trading Card Game announced by CD PROJEKT RED

CD PROJEKT RED and WeirdCo have officially announced the development of the Cyberpunk Trading Card Game, a new tabletop experience based on the hit RPG Cyberpunk 2077 and the critically acclaimed Netflix anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
The game invites players to step into the dangerous world of Night City with the goal of becoming a legend.
Gameplay focuses on building the ultimate team of “Edgerunners.”

Players will compile characters from across the entire series to form their squads, battling against opponents to assert dominance in the dark future setting.
The project emphasizes high production value, featuring “breathtaking custom artwork” designed to appeal to competitive trading card players, dedicated collectors, and fans of the video game and anime series alike.

Several cards featuring iconic characters and equipment have already been revealed:
- V

The customizable protagonist of Cyberpunk 2077, a mercenary fighting for survival in Night City.
- Adam Smasher

The terrifying full-body cyborg solo employed by Arasaka, serving as a major antagonist in both the game and the anime.
- Jackie Welles

V’s loyal partner and best friend, a Heywood merc with big dreams of becoming a legend.
- Judy Alvarez

A premier braindance technician, member of the Mox gang, and a key ally to V.
- Panam Palmer

A former Nomad of the Aldecaldos clan who assists V in the badlands.
- Goro Takemura

The former bodyguard of Saburo Arasaka who becomes an unlikely ally in the main storyline.
- Mantis Blades

The iconic arm-mounted cyberware blades, known for their lethal efficiency in close quarters.
- Kiroshi Optics

The high-end optical cyberware used by mercenaries to scan environments and enemies.
To jumpstart the project, a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter is scheduled to launch in 2026.
As an early incentive for fans, the official website is currently running a promotional campaign.

Users who sign up for updates on the site will receive an exclusive card featuring Lucy, the netrunner and deuteragonist of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
The announcement continues the expansion of the Cyberpunk IP, which has seen a massive resurgence in popularity following the release of the Phantom Liberty expansion.
This news adds to a growing list of high-profile merchandise announcements for major gaming franchises this month, joining the likes of the recently revealed scale figure of Stellar Blade’s Eve by manufacturer FLARE.
