Nonsense's new Dandadan inspired streetwear collection goes all-out

A new apparel collection has been released by the Japanese fashion brand “Nonsense,” centered entirely on the world of the hit manga and anime series, Dandadan.

The collection translates the chaotic energy and unique character designs of the series into a wide range of streetwear and accessories.

Dandadan is a manga/anime series that blends supernatural horror, science-fiction, and romantic comedy, following the adventures of high school students Momo Ayase and Okarun as they get caught in a conflict between aliens and spirits.

The series recently collaborated with premium audio brand Bose to release a range of exclusive packaging for some of their most popular products.

The new streetwear line from Nonsense leans heavily into the distinct abilities and aesthetics of the series’ main characters.

A key piece in the collection is the “Okarun Reversible Transformation Jacket,” which directly references the protagonist Okarun’s ability to be possessed by the spirit Turbo Granny, granting him a powerful transformed state.

This theme is continued with the matching “Okarun Transformation Pants.”

The collection also includes varsity jackets for the characters Momo Ayase and her grandmother, Seiko.

Other items feature graphics pulled directly from the series’ iconography.

Button-down shirts are available with patterns based on the UFOs that frequently appear in the story, as well as designs centered on the menacing spirit, Turbo Granny.
