Life-Size Statue of Ghost in the Shell’s Motoko Kusanagi Gets Additional Production Run Due to High Demand

High-end collectibles manufacturer Prime 1 Studio has announced an extended production run for a highly sought-after statue based on the iconic cyberpunk anime “Ghost in the Shell”.
The “Ghost in the Shell: STAND ALONE COMPLEX – Motoko Kusanagi Life Scale Masterline” statue is receiving a second wave of availability to accommodate the massive response.

This unprecedented 1/1 scale statue was produced exclusively as a venue-limited item for the “Ghost in the Shell” exhibition currently taking place in Tokyo, Japan.
Ghost in the Shell originally debuted in 1989 as a groundbreaking science fiction manga series created by Masamune Shirow.

The sprawling narrative follows Public Security Section 9, a specialized offensive unit tasked with combating highly complex and technologically advanced cybercrimes.
The elite team is led by Major Motoko Kusanagi, a highly capable cyborg who possesses a fully prosthetic body and unparalleled combat skills.

The Stand Alone Complex television adaptation aired in 2002 under the expert direction of Kenji Kamiyama to massive critical acclaim.
This specific iteration takes place in a parallel timeline set in the year 2030, exploring a reality where the Major never merged with the notorious Puppet Master entity.

To celebrate the enduring legacy of the franchise, the ongoing exhibition is offering attendees the chance to secure two different highly detailed physical representations of the series’ protagonist Motoko Kusanagi:
- Life Scale Masterline Ghost in the Shell STAND ALONE COMPLEX Motoko Kusanagi Bonus Version
- Price: 1,320,000 yen (approx. $8,800 USD / £6,900 GBP)

This 1/1 scale masterpiece stands approximately 174cm tall and features a removable fabric jacket over a highly detailed tactical suit.
The life-sized premium statue comes bundled with a special base, a Seburo C-26A weapon, and a bonus right hand holding a Seburo M-5 firearm.
- The Legend of Beauty and Beast Ghost in the Shell STAND ALONE COMPLEX Motoko Kusanagi & Tachikoma Art by Entei Ryu
- Price: 296,890 yen (approx. $1,980 USD / £1,560 GBP)

This supplementary 1/4 scale piece translates a popular garage kit by artist Entei Ryu into a highly detailed 53cm tall polystone statue.
Fans can choose between an original sepia tone colorway or a character color version inspired by the vibrant anime series.

These figures include a special base, a bonus A3 art print, and are part of an ongoing campaign to receive an autographed poster.
The special exhibition is currently being held at the TOKYO NODE GALLERY within the Toranomon Hills Station Tower.

Fans have until Sunday, April 5, 2026, to visit the event and view the impressive displays.
Advance orders for the 1/4 scale Entei Ryu collaboration pieces are currently being accepted at the venue, though stock is strictly limited to ten units per color.
The initial allocation for the life-sized figure quickly reached its limit at the event.

To accommodate the demand, five extra units of the 1/1 scale statue will be made available for venue-limited advance orders.
Reservations for these highly limited additional units are scheduled to begin on Friday, March 13, 2026.
