New Gundam mini figure set features three popular mobile suits from different series
BANDAI SPIRITS has announced the upcoming release of the eighth installment in its popular “Mobile Suit Gundam G Frame FA” series.
This highly anticipated lineup will feature three iconic mobile suits, including the fan-favorite Strike Freedom Gundam, complete with an optional parts set.
The “Mobile Suit Gundam G Frame FA” series is a high-spec movable figure collection known for its unique two-part assembly system.
Collectors acquire both an articulated inner frame and separate armor parts, which are then combined to complete a highly detailed and poseable mobile suit figure.
This innovative design allows for intricate articulation and dynamic display options within a relatively small scale.
The series is particularly popular among collectors who appreciate both the aesthetic accuracy and the poseability of their figures.
The eighth wave of the “G Frame FA” series brings together a selection of mobile suits from different eras of the Gundam series:
- Strike Freedom Gundam
This iconic mobile suit is the ultimate protagonist machine from “Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny,” piloted by Kira Yamato.
Known for its golden inner frame, powerful beam rifles, and the “Super Dragoon” remote weapon system, the Strike Freedom Gundam is a symbol of overwhelming power.
The “G Frame FA 08” rendition of the Strike Freedom Gundam will include a comprehensive optional parts set, featuring eight wings and their accompanying dragoons, along with special interchangeable wrist parts.
The wings on the back are designed for wide-ranging dynamic movement, and each of the eight dragoons can be individually attached or detached, allowing for the recreation of its signature “Full Burst Mode” attack.
- GQuuuuuuX (Sieg Axe)
This mobile suit hails from the new “Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX” animated series.
Sieg Axe represents one of the unique and powerful designs in an alternate Universal Century timeline which focuses on intense mobile suit battles and underground mech fights.
- High Mobility Type Zaku II (Black Tri-Stars Specification)
A classic mobile suit from the “Mobile Suit Gundam MSV” (Mobile Suit Variations) sub-series that expanded on the original Gundam universe with various custom and prototype mobile suit designs.
The High Mobility Type Zaku II is piloted by the elite Zeon ace team the Black Tri-Stars and is famous for its distinctive black and purple color scheme.
The full “Mobile Suit Gundam G Frame FA 08” set is priced at 8,976 yen (approx. $57.50 USD) and is scheduled for shipping in November 2025.
This does require purchasing a full box of 12 figures so while it guarantees all types, there will be some overlaps in the included figures, as is customary for these candy toy releases where a full box contains a greater quantity than there are types of figures in the set.
Individual figures will also be available in the candy toy section of supermarkets and convenience stores across Japan in November 2025.
Pre-orders for the full set of “Mobile Suit Gundam G Frame FA 08” figures are currently being accepted via Premium Bandai.
