New figures reimagine Gundam Wing characters as cats for series 30th anniversary

MegaHouse has opened pre-orders for a new set of figures that reimagines the cast of the classic anime series Mobile Suit Gundam Wing as cats.
The “MEGA CAT PROJECT: Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Nyandam W Nyanko Project Mission Completed! Set” will be released as part of the celebrations for the upcoming 30th anniversary of Gundam Wing.

The series first aired in 1995 and became one of the most popular and influential entries in the Gundam franchise, especially in North America.
Other events taking place for the series’ 30th anniversary include a special booth at San Diego Comic Con.

The “MEGA CAT PROJECT” is a popular line of miniature figures from MegaHouse that takes characters from various well-known series and humorously transforms them into small felines.
Each figure is a non-articulated, chibi-style cat, capturing the essence of the original character’s design and personality in a new form.

The figures in this new set are approximately 30 millimeters tall, a cute, pocket-sized collectible.
For this release, the characters are designed wearing outfits inspired by those seen in the first opening sequence of the Gundam Wing anime, a nostalgic reference for long-time fans.

The collection is being sold as a complete box set containing all eight different character-cats.
The full lineup of cat-ified characters includes:
- Heero Yuy

- Relena Darlian

- Duo Maxwell

- Trowa Barton

- Quatre Raberba Winner

- Chang Wufei

- Zechs Merquise

- Treize Khushrenada

Each individual figure in the set is also accompanied by a small character sheet.
The complete eight-figure “Nyandam W” set is priced at 7,200 yen (approx. $48.38 USD / £36.07 GBP) and will be released in December 2025.

As they will be released later this year, the packaging will also feature MegaHouse’s new authenticity stickers that have been developed in partnership with Bandai.

Orders can now be placed via the Premium Bandai website, as well as at most reputable hobby goods retailers.
