Sanrio and LABUBU Announce First-Ever Collab for Halloween 2026

Sanrio Puroland is preparing an unusually chaotic Halloween celebration this fall, transforming Hello Kitty, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll and Badtz-Maru into colorful monsters while introducing its first-ever collaboration with POP MART’s LABUBU.
The seasonal event combines new character costumes, an immersive live show, DJ performances, a horror version of one of Puroland’s best-known attractions and an extensive range of limited food and merchandise.

Running under the name PUROMONSTERSCRAMBLE, this year’s celebration adopts a “KAWAII × MONSTER HALLOWEEN” concept built around a party where everyone is encouraged to embrace their individuality alongside a cast of strange but adorable monsters.

The biggest addition is Sanrio Puroland’s first collaboration with LABUBU, the mischievous character from POP MART’s hugely popular THE MONSTERS series, who will appear alongside the Sanrio cast throughout the Halloween season.

Hello Kitty, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll and Badtz-Maru will appear in newly designed fluffy costumes that mix each character’s familiar appearance with colorful monster-inspired details, giving the event its own visual identity across performances, photo areas and merchandise.

LABUBU will make a special guest appearance in the new PUROMONSTERSCRAMBLE PARTY, a 360-degree immersive live show that places visitors inside a monster-filled Halloween celebration rather than presenting the performance from a traditional stage.

The approximately 20-minute show brings together Hello Kitty, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll, Badtz-Maru and LABUBU with fiber-beam lighting, heavy smoke effects, illuminated props and choreography designed to encourage the audience to dance along.
A new monster named Jack O. Happens also joins the performance, voiced by Subaru Kimura, whose extensive career spans anime, acting and television work.

Music plays a major role in the show, with FAKE TYPE. creating the main theme while TOPHAMHAT-KYO provides lyrics and Dopamine & zensen, Miyamori Bungaku and Namigroove contribute additional compositions.

Director and choreographer Harris oversees the staging and dance routines, combining the darker Halloween setting with the colorful KAWAII style associated with Sanrio Puroland.

The party atmosphere begins before the main performance through PUROMONSTERSCRAMBLE DJ TIME!, a new approximately 10-minute show where one of Hello Kitty, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll or Badtz-Maru takes over as DJ for each performance.

The rotating characters will play familiar Sanrio songs and music from previous Puroland parades, with visitors encouraged to clap and dance along before the main monster party begins.
Halloween also takes a much darker turn aboard the Sanrio Character Boat Ride, which will temporarily become the horror attraction Noroware Pierrot under the direction and supervision of Japanese haunted-house specialists OBAKEN.

The story places guests in the role of investigators following reports of three cursed clowns hiding inside the attraction, with the warning that anyone who sees them three times will become cursed themselves.
Unlike the normally family-friendly boat ride, the Halloween version is restricted to visitors of junior-high-school age and older and will operate from 4:00 PM on September 11 and on weekends and public holidays throughout the event.
Puroland’s third-floor entrance and other areas of the park will also receive fluffy wall coverings, neon decorations and monster-themed photo opportunities, including an interactive gate outside the Entertainment Hall that reacts to visitors in an unexpected way.

The LABUBU collaboration extends into exclusive merchandise, with original designs pairing POP MART’s styling with Hello Kitty and the other costumed PUROMONSTERS across a range of items.

A set of PUROMONSTERSCRAMBLE Mascots, priced at ¥3,960 (approx. $25 USD / £18 GBP), recreate Hello Kitty, Kuromi, Cinamoroll and Badtz-Maru in their fluffy new monster costumes as a portable character plush.

Three types of PUROMONSTERSCRAMBLE Headband, priced at ¥3,850 (approx. $24 USD / £18 GBP), lets visitors match Kuromi, Cinnamoroll and Hello Kitty’s Halloween appearance with furry monster-inspired decorations.

The PUROMONSTERSCRAMBLE Drawstring Bags, priced at ¥1,650 (approx. $10 USD / £8 GBP), carries the event artwork into a smaller everyday accessory that can continue to be used after Halloween.

A selection of other items such as keychains, patches and stickers will also be available, as well as what appears to be a set of exclusive Sanrio Characters x LABUBU blind box mascots that feature the new collaborative designs.

Limited time collaborative food items will also be available throughout the park , with LABUBU appearing in the limited “LABUBU and PUROMONSTER Cool-Cute Almond Tofu Peach Parfait,” priced at ¥1,000 (approx. $6 USD / £5 GBP), which combines the collaboration artwork with a character pick created specifically for the event.

The wider Halloween menu includes “Hangyodon’s Banknotes Galore! Tandoori Chicken Blue Curry,” priced at ¥1,700 (approx. $11 USD / £8 GBP), turning the character’s monster theme into one of the event’s most colorful savory dishes.

“Cinnamoroll’s Fluffy Pancake and Milk Pudding Parfait,” priced at ¥1,000 (approx. $6 USD / £5 GBP), uses soft cream and pastel colors to match Cinnamoroll’s fluffy monster transformation.

“Badtz-Maru’s Mischievous Orange Craft Cola,” priced at ¥900 (approx. $6 USD / £4 GBP), completes the announced menu with an orange-flavored drink inspired by the character’s troublemaking personality.

PUROMONSTERSCRAMBLE will run at Sanrio Puroland from September 11 through November 3, 2026, with the live performances, LABUBU collaboration, limited merchandise, seasonal food, photo areas and horror boat ride all available during the Halloween event period.
