New Evangelion game announces 2026 release and demo

The official title and logo have been revealed for a new, in-development extended reality (XR) game based on the world of the classic anime series, Neon Genesis Evangelion.
The new game is titled EVANGELION:Δ CROSS REFLECTIONS and will be produced by the Korean studio Pixelity Inc.

The project is a new game designed using the latest technology, which will fuse virtual reality (VR) and mixed reality (MR) to allow players to experience the world of the anime in a realistic and immersive way.
This new game will tell a new story that is set during the same timeline as the original, 26-episode television anime series.

Players will take on the role of a new protagonist, a young candidate who is aiming to become a NERV employee and dreams of becoming an Evangelion pilot.
The game’s original story will intersect with the pivotal episodes and events of the original anime, allowing players to experience the classic story from their own, new perspective.

Players will be able to explore locations from the anime, engage in battles between Evangelions and Angels, and interact with both the original cast and new, original characters.
The developers have stated that their goal is to provide a fresh sense of immersion, allowing fans to feel as if they are personally involved in the events of the original story.

The game project is planned to be a trilogy of releases.
This first title, EVANGELION:Δ CROSS REFLECTIONS, will cover the events from the first through the eleventh episodes of the TV anime.
EVANGELION:Δ CROSS REFLECTIONS is scheduled to be released in 2026.
A special demo version of the game, which will allow players to experience a portion of the final content, is also planned for release in the first half of the year.
