Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway And Milky☆Subway Reveal Collaborative Film Illustration

The official website for the Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway anime film series has unveiled a special collaboration illustration with the compilation film Milky Subway: The Galactic Limited Express: Local Train to the Theater on March 20, 2026.

Titled Galaxy Mobile Suit Milky Hathaway, the artwork depicts the iconic giant robots Makina Robo and Xi Gundam standing together to celebrate the theatrical runs of both projects.

Shuko Murase, the director of Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway, expressed his admiration for Milky Subway by praising its 3D character designs and its unique laid-back science fiction atmosphere.

Yohei Kameyama, the director of Milky Subway, reciprocated the sentiment by noting the high quality of the giant robot depictions and serious dialogue found in the Gundam sequel.

The second film in the Hathaway trilogy, Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe, originally opened in Japanese theaters on January 30, 2026.

As of March 19, 2026, the Gundam sequel has earned over 2.5 billion yen from nearly 1.5 million admissions, surpassing the total box office take of the first entry in the series.
