MINISO Reveals First-Look at New Hello Kitty and Friends x Powerpuff Girls Collab Collection
Image by James RichardsonMINISO has revealed a new Hello Kitty and Friends x The Powerpuff Girls collection that brings together Sanrio’s cutest characters and Townsville’s superhero trio across a colorful new range of collectibles.
Early images of the collaboration show the familiar pairings of Hello Kitty with Blossom, Cinnamoroll with Bubbles and Kuromi with Buttercup appearing across plushies, blind-box figures, keychains and character stamps.
The crossover takes advantage of how naturally the two groups line up, matching Blossom’s pink coloring and bow with Hello Kitty, Bubbles’ softer blue palette with Cinnamoroll and Buttercup’s more rebellious personality with Kuromi.
MINISO’s newly revealed plushies turn the three central pairings into soft character collectibles that combine recognizable features from both franchises, with the Sanrio characters wearing Powerpuff Girls-inspired outfits while Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup also adopt details from their partners.
Blind-boxed figures also appear to form part of the collection, giving the crossover a more traditional collectible element alongside the larger plush releases.
The first promotional images additionally reveal character keychains and stamps, broadening the range into smaller accessories that should make the collaboration more accessible than a collection focused entirely on larger display pieces.
The new MINISO range follows an already substantial wave of merchandise based on the crossover, which has previously included clothing, bags, accessories, drinkware and home goods alongside licensed collectibles from multiple manufacturers and retailers.
MINISO is a particularly natural home for another interpretation of the collaboration, having already developed large standalone ranges based on both Hello Kitty and Friends and The Powerpuff Girls.
Its Sanrio collections regularly span plushies, vinyl figures, stationery, beauty products and everyday accessories, while previous Powerpuff Girls releases have included collectible figures, plush pendants, drinkware and lifestyle goods centered around Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup.
For now, MINISO has only provided an early look at the Hello Kitty and Friends x The Powerpuff Girls collection, so the complete product lineup, individual prices, release date and participating countries have yet to be announced.
