Luxury Tokyo hotel offers Pokémon ‘beach resort’ themed rooms

The luxury Grand Hyatt Tokyo hotel will offer two new Pokémon themed rooms for summer 2025.

Between Friday, June 20th and Sunday, August 31st, guests can immerse themselves in a unique beach resort-themed stay infused with the charm of the beloved Pokémon franchise.

This special collaboration offers two distinct accommodation experiences: the exclusive “Pokémon Beach Resort Suite Stay” which will be limited to one suite per day, and the “Pokémon Beach Resort Stay”, which will be available for only five standard rooms each day.

Both rooms promise an unforgettable summer getaway, bringing the vibrant world of Pokémon to the luxurious setting of the Grand Hyatt Tokyo.

The pinnacle of the collaboration, the “Pokémon Beach Resort Suite Stay”, transforms a sprawling 120-square-meter suite into a dynamic beach paradise.

The living area will be adorned with a wave-patterned rug, lush palm trees, and other tropical greenery, creating an ambiance reminiscent of a serene tropical garden.

Adding to the whimsical décor are large, huggable plush toys of the gentle Water/Ice-type Pokémon Lapras and the famously sleepy Normal-type Pokémon Snorlax.

Guests will also find adorable Pikachu and Piplup stuffed toys nestled alongside Lapras and Snorlax, which they are invited to take home as cherished souvenirs of their stay.

This premium accommodation package includes a in-room dinner featuring an original tropical gourmet burger inspired by the Grass/Poison-type Pokémon Bulbasaur, and a delightful Squirtle ricotta cheese tart.

For breakfast, guests will be treated to a set menu of pancakes adorned with a charming Pikachu logo, also delivered directly to their suite.

In terms of amenities, guests of the “Pokémon Beach Resort Suite Stay” will receive original French-designed bathrobes and beach towels, along with a stylish beach bag, a themed cap, and a collaborative T-shirt.

The “Pokémon Beach Resort Stay”, offered for 5 standard rooms per day, will allow guests on a slightly smaller budget access to a Pokémon themed tropical beach resort-inspired room.

For breakfast, guests opting for the “Pokémon Beach Resort Stay” will enjoy the extensive breakfast buffet at the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant, ‘The French Kitchen’, which will feature special Pikachu-branded pancakes, adding a playful touch to their morning meal.

Across both accommodation plans, guests can look forward to discovering summer-themed illustrations of various Pokémon adorning different locations within their rooms, further enhancing the immersive experience.

Beyond the themed rooms, select restaurants within the Grand Hyatt Tokyo will also be offering special Pokémon collaboration menus, extending the Pokémon experience throughout the hotel’s dining venues.
