JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind Inspires New Official Yukata Collection

A new collaboration between JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind and Japanese casual kimono brand Furifu has resulted in the creation of a range of character-inspired yukata.
Created by Hirohiko Araki, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is a long-running manga franchise that follows multiple generations of the Joestar family and their extraordinary battles against powerful enemies, beginning with the fateful rivalry between Jonathan Joestar and Dio Brando.

The series is known for its unique structure, with each story arc featuring a new protagonist while remaining connected through the Joestar bloodline and overarching mythology.

The franchise is currently continuing with Part 9, The JOJOLands, which is serialized in Shueisha’s Ultra Jump magazine.

Several installments have also received anime adaptations, including Stardust Crusaders starring Jotaro Kujo and Diamond Is Unbreakable featuring Josuke Higashikata.

The most recent animated entry, Steel Ball Run JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, began worldwide exclusive advance streaming of its first stage on Netflix on March 19, 2026, with a special 47-minute episode.

Returning to the collaboration collection, Furifu has created seven yukata designs inspired by key members of the Golden Wind cast.
The lineup is based on Giorno Giovanna, Bruno Bucciarati, Leone Abbacchio, Guido Mista, Narancia Ghirga, Pannacotta Fugo, and Trish Una.

The collection has been designed so that friends, couples, and groups can coordinate matching outfits based on their favorite characters.
The Giorno-inspired yukata reflects the dignity and determination associated with the future gang leader through a design reminiscent of Italian cityscapes.

Purple diamond patterns form the foundation of the design, while heart motifs and blue ladybug accents reference elements closely associated with Giorno’s appearance.

The accompanying obi combines imagery inspired by Gold Experience’s life-giving power with traditional karakusa patterns that originated in ancient Egypt before eventually becoming part of Japanese decorative art, creating a blend of elegance and symbolism.
The Bruno-inspired design prominently incorporates zipper motifs and bold linear elements throughout the garment.

References to Sticky Fingers are included through visual details that appear to emerge from the zipper design, while the obi incorporates a message associated with Bruno himself.

The Abbacchio-inspired yukata utilizes layered navy gradients, floral motifs, and lace-like patterns to create a sense of depth and sophistication.

Elements connected to Moody Blues have also been integrated into the obi design.

The Mista-inspired version features refreshing blue geometric patterns reminiscent of traditional Edo Kiriko glasswork, accented with striking red highlights.

Sex Pistols is represented through numbered motifs incorporated into the artwork, while larger depictions of the Stand appear across the obi for a more playful presentation.

The Narancia-inspired design combines deep navy tones with white and orange floral elements.

Flowing lines across the fabric are intended to evoke speed and movement through the sky, while motifs inspired by Aerosmith are prominently featured throughout the composition.

The Fugo-inspired yukata is built around a vivid green color palette accented by polka-dot patterns and necktie-inspired strawberry motifs.

Visual techniques resembling soft blurring effects are used to symbolize the toxic nature and destructive power of Purple Haze.

The Trish-inspired design adopts a romantic aesthetic through the use of large pink flowers spread across the garment.

Its overall composition is intended to represent personal growth and transformation, while the obi incorporates mathematical symbols representing the four basic arithmetic operations.

The collection includes coordinated yukata and obi sets for both men and women, while separate obi fastener and decorative cord sets will also be available.
The yukata and obi sets will launch on June 19, 2026, at a price of 24,200 yen each (approx. $165 USD/ £122 GBP), while the matching obi fastener and cord sets are scheduled to go on sale via the Furifu official website from July 15, 2026, for 9,900 yen (approx. $68 USD/ £50 GBP).
