Two new limited edition Dragon Ball eyewear ranges set to go on sale

JINS, a Japanese eyewear retailer, will be launching two new ranges of glasses inspired by Dragon Ball DAIMA and the original Dragon Ball series.

For over 40 years, Dragon Ball has been hugely popular in Japan and beyond, with brands constantly seeking to take advantage of the continued popularity of the franchise through various collaborations.

Recent collaborations have included exclusive merchandise at Japanese retailer Don Quijote, a range of DBZ inspired Crocs and a Dragon Ball DAIMA credit card.

The new glasses from JINS are designed to appeal to both nostalgic adults who grew up with the original Dragon Ball series and younger generations who have discovered the franchise through the latest instalment, Dragon Ball DAIMA.

Dragon Ball DAIMA Range

The Dragon Ball DAIMA range features 12 distinct styles, divided equally between adult and children’s sizes.

Six pairs of glasses will be available in Adult and Child sizes

The glasses have been inspired by 6 characters from the series: Goku, Vegeta, Kaioshin, Piccolo, Gomah and Bulma.

The color palettes are inspired by the each individual character and their costumes, with each design incorporating a classic Wellington lens shape, a popular choice among all age groups.

The “Dragon Ball DAIMA” glasses comes with a standard glasses case featuring the series logo and a one star Dragon Ball zipper.

Each pair of glasses also come with a 25cm x 25cm cleaning cloth featuring a design inspired by the series.

Dragon Ball Range

The Dragon Ball range is a tribute to the early days of the series, catering to the devoted fans who have followed Goku’s journey from the beginning.

The glasses from the Dragon Ball x JINS collaboration will be released later this year

This collection features six styles and eight variations of adult-sized glasses, blending vintage aesthetics with Dragon Ball influences.

Eight different pairs of Dragon Ball inspired glasses will available

The metal core of the temples cleverly recreates memorable scenes, such as Son Goku flying on his cloud and Bulma racing on her motorcycle.

Various symbols such as the nimbus cloud, four-star Dragon Ball and Capsule Corp logo are discreetly incorporated into the hinges depending on the design.

To enhance the overall experience, each pair of “Dragon Ball” glasses comes with a capsule-type case, adding an element of surprise and excitement to the unboxing.

The Dragon Ball DAIMA glasses will cost 10,900 yen (approx. $72.33 USD / £57.32 GBP)for a pair of Adult glasses while a Childrens pair will cost 8,900 yen ($59.06 USD / £46.80 GBP).

Each pair of the Dragon Ball glasses will cost 24,900 yen (approx. $165.22 USD / £130.93 GBP).

The Dragon Ball DAIMA glasses will be available from all JINS stores throughout Japan, as well as from their website, starting from 10am on the 6th of March.

Availability for the Dragon Ball glasses will be more limited as they will only be available from select JINS stores, although they will still be available to order via their website starting from April 17th.
