Huge New Evangelion Collab Heads to One of Japan’s Top Theme Parks This Spring

One of Japan’s top theme parks has officially announced an upcoming collaboration event featuring a groundbreaking new attraction based on the legendary Neon Genesis Evangelion franchise.
This massive park-wide takeover at Nagasaki’s Huis Ten Bosch theme park invites fans to experience an immersive 8K ride, enjoy exclusive themed dining, participate in an interactive stamp rally, and even stay in specially decorated hotel rooms.

Neon Genesis Evangelion is an iconic mecha anime franchise that began in 1995, completely revolutionizing the genre with its psychological depth and complex narratives.

The story focuses on the devastating conflicts between humanity and mysterious beings known as Angels.

Teenage pilots are tasked with commanding massive bio-machine weapons to protect the world from apocalyptic threats.

Huis Ten Bosch is a massive recreation of a traditional Dutch town located in Sasebo City, Nagasaki Prefecture, famous for its beautiful flower gardens, illuminations, and European architecture.

This upcoming event merges the beautiful park scenery with the intense sci-fi action of the anime.

Let’s take a look at the exciting features of this theme park collaboration!
- Evangelion The Ride 8K

This groundbreaking new attraction utilizes Japan’s only 8K LED giant dome screen to completely immerse riders in the action.

The experience features a completely original story set in the Intercept Fortress City Huis Ten Bosch.

Guests will feel the intense rush of battling Angels with synchronized ride motions that simulate steep dives and a thrilling feeling of floating.
- Interactive Park Activities

Visitors can become temporary employees of the “NERV Sasebo Branch” and participate in a special stamp rally across the park grounds.

A breathtaking night show will also be held, featuring the iconic classical music frequently heard throughout the animated series.
- Collaboration Food and Merchandise

Restaurants and cafes will serve special menus inspired by the characters and mecha, with select meals including souvenirs like original coasters.

Exclusive goods featuring the “NERV Sasebo Branch” logo will be available, including apparel and local Nagasaki specialties like branded castella sponge cake.

- Hotel Den Haag NERV Special Room
Fans can extend their experience by staying in a specially decorated room designed as temporary accommodation for NERV personnel.

The room offers a beautiful harbor view, which serves as the direct setting for the new ride attraction.
Guests staying in these rooms will receive exclusive gifts, including an acrylic stand with brand new artwork, a unique tote bag, and a towel.

The exhilarating new ride attraction and the park-wide event are scheduled to officially open to the public on Friday, April 24, 2026.
