Houshou Marine to Star in New Hololive Zombie Typing Game

Publisher holo Indie and developer BeXide have officially announced a new typing game, HoloType: Treasure Zombie Island, slated for release on PC via Steam.
This title brings popular virtual YouTuber Houshou Marine, known for her pirate persona within the expansive Hololive production agency, back into the spotlight for an unusual adventure.

The premise of the game places players in the role of Houshou Marine as she sets sail on a voyage that is quickly complicated by the antics of fellow Hololive talent Crazy Ollie, whose mischief has cursed the captain’s prized collection, transforming her adorable treasure into frightening “Treasure Zombies.”
The primary objective is to embark on a mission to type away the curses and recover the original collection.

This unique concept promises a typing game experience unlike any other, specifically designed to feature many of Hololive’s most memorable and beloved phrases, integrating the virtual talent’s community-driven content directly into the gameplay.
HoloType: Treasure Zombie Island functions fundamentally as a classic typing game, requiring players to accurately enter the characters displayed on the screen using their keyboard.

In each stage, the Treasure Zombies that appear are stylized representations of selected Hololive members and their various companions.
Players must rapidly type out the on-screen “memorable Hololive lines” to effectively heal and defeat these zombie forms.

The climax of every stage features an encounter with a formidable boss, whose attacks involve conquering their equally chaotic and difficult memorable lines to ultimately reclaim the captain’s precious, original treasure.
Beyond the main campaign, the game offers a dedicated space for collecting and displaying in-game spoils.

Players can utilize the Treasure Collection Room, which is set up as the captain’s personal quarters, to showcase the treasures they amass.
Collecting an extensive amount of treasure is intended to double the enjoyment and allows players to design and curate their own unique virtual collection room.

Although the companies have unveiled the game’s existence, a definitive launch date remains unannounced at this time.
