Hatsune Miku’s luxurious $1200 Japanese doll figure is getting a re-release

Pre-orders have officially opened for a stunning re-release of a high-end Hatsune Miku figure, which combines the virtual singer with traditional Japanese artistry.
The “Yoshitoku x F:NEX – Hatsune Miku -Japanese Doll- 1/4 Scale Figure,” is a collaboration between FuRyu’s F:NEX brand and the historic doll maker, Yoshitoku.

Hatsune Miku is a global pop icon who originated as a voice synthesizer, known for her signature turquoise twin-tails.

This figure, however, reimagines her in a completely traditional style.

This 1/4 scale figure is the 9th in the premium “Japanese Doll Figure” series and is based on an original illustration by the artist Fuzichoco.

The figure’s concept is “Hatsune” (first sound), which in Japanese culture also refers to the first birdsong of the year, and the doll is designed to capture this sense of grace.

The figure’s main feature is its incredibly detailed kimono.

The fabric is dyed using traditional Yuzen techniques, a painstaking process where 12 different colors were used for the green portions and 11 for the blue, creating a unique and deep color.

The patterns are meticulously crafted to align perfectly across the seams of the sleeves, and the kimono is finished with sparkling gold foil stamping.

As with traditional Japanese dolls, the face is designed to be as lifelike as possible.

The figure’s expression is carefully reproduced from the illustration, featuring “jewel-like eyes” that shine in the light, a faint blush, and cherry-colored lips for a serene impression.

The “Yoshitoku x F:NEX – Hatsune Miku -Japanese Doll- 1/4 Scale Figure” is priced at 198,000 yen (approx. $1,286.00 USD / £977.85 GBP).

Pre-orders are open now and are scheduled to close on February 24, 2026.
The figure is scheduled to ship in September 2026 and is available for pre-order via the FuRyu Hobby Mall.
