Gundam SEED Stargazer’s Strike Noir Returns with Exclusive New 20th Anniversary Release
Gundam SEED C.E.73 -STARGAZER- is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a new version of its Strike Noir Gundam METAL BUILD figure, updating the premium release with revised colors and several changes to its accessories.
The “METAL BUILD STRIKE NOIR GUNDAM (20th MEMORIAL COLOR)” recreates Sven Cal Bayang’s black mobile suit with new paintwork intended to more closely match its appearance in the anime, including adjusted shades and levels of gloss across selected armor and weapons.
Strike Noir combines the upgraded Strike E with the specialized Noir Striker pack, giving the machine weapons suited to long, medium, and close-range combat while retaining a strong focus on close-quarters fighting.
The Strike E’s Variable Phase Shift armor can alter both its protection and coloration depending on its configuration, with the settings used alongside the Noir Striker giving the mobile suit the black armor that inspired its “Noir” name.
Bandai’s new figure stands approximately 18cm tall and combines ABS and PVC parts with a die-cast frame, retaining the extensive articulation, mechanical detailing, and printed markings associated with the wider METAL BUILD line.
The Noir Striker mounted across its back can be repositioned and deployed in several configurations, with the two MR-Q10 “Fragarach 3” Beam Blades stored inside its wings able to detach and combine with beam effects for dual-wielding poses.
Its MAU-M3E4 Twin Linear Guns can also rotate forward before their barrels extend into a firing configuration, while the figure remains compatible with separately sold Striker Packs including the Sword Striker and Launcher Striker.
Other weapons include a pair of High-Energy Beam Rifles with grenade launchers, two Beam Rifle Shorties and Anchor Launchers for both arms, with newly sculpted hands specifically designed to create more expressive poses with the Shorties.
This isn’t simply a recolored copy of the previous Strike Noir METAL BUILD, as Bandai has also revised the included accessories for the anniversary release.
The original “METAL BUILD STRIKE NOIR GUNDAM (Alternative Strike Ver.)” debuted as a TAMASHII NATION 2022 commemorative release before receiving a further sales run in 2023, with that version including a 57mm High-Energy Beam Rifle and two Beam Sabers that aren’t part of the new set.
The new Strike Noir follows several other major Gundam SEED additions to the METAL BUILD range during 2026, including the enormous “METAL BUILD METEOR” revealed earlier this summer.
Measuring approximately 70.5cm long and weighing around 2.5kg, the METEOR is set to become the largest product in the METAL BUILD line when it begins shipping in 2027, with compatibility for releases including Freedom Gundam, Justice Gundam and Strike Freedom Gundam.

TAMASHII NATIONS has also teased the silhouette of another Striker Pack release alongside the new Strike Noir, with its outline suggesting that the Multiple Assault Striker used by Perfect Strike Gundam in Mobile Suit Gundam SEED HD Remaster could be next, although Bandai hasn’t formally identified it yet.
Pre-orders for the “METAL BUILD STRIKE NOIR GUNDAM (20th MEMORIAL COLOR)” will open through Premium Bandai Japan on September 25 at 4:00 PM JST, with the figure priced at ¥39,600 ahead of its scheduled March 2027 release.
Pre-orders through Premium Bandai US will also begin on the same day, with the premium 20th anniversary release priced at $360 and set for a slightly later release in April 2027.
