A new album containing covers of iconic Gundam theme songs alongside a full orchestra has been released.

This album is a spin-off from Hiroko Moriguchi’s successful “Gundam Song Covers” series, which reimagines classic Gundam anime themes.

For this new album, all of the songs have been performed with a full orchestral arrangement which provides a new take on well-loved songs from the series.

The new album is the latest in a series of Gundam Song Covers albums

Hiroko Moriguchi has long been associated with the Gundam franchise as she performed “To the Blue Planet with Love”, an opening theme for Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam, and also performed “ETERNAL WIND ~Hohoemi wa Hikaru Kaze no Naka~”, the theme song for Mobile Suit Gundam F91.

Her “Gundam Song Covers” series of albums began in 2019 and saw three successful releases over the following years.

All three previous albums achieved top-three rankings on the Oricon Weekly Chart.

“GUNDAM SONG COVERS -ORCHESTRA-” takes the series to a new level by collaborating with a full orchestra, the Japan Pops Orchestra (Tacticato Orchestra).

This ensemble, composed of young and talented musicians active both in Japan and internationally, provides a rich symphonic sound for the song covers.
