Mobile Suit Gundam has officially teamed up with Malaysian motorcycle helmet brand GRACSHAW for a new limited-edition collection inspired by the iconic Mobile Suits of the original 1979 anime.

The “GRACSHAW x Mobile Suit Gundam” collection features three designs based on the RX-78-2 Gundam, the mass-produced MS-06F Zaku II, and Char Aznable’s distinctive MS-06S Zaku II.

All three are based on GRACSHAW’s Glaive dual-visor open-face helmet, with the shell serving as a base for colors, markings, and mechanical-inspired details taken directly from their respective Mobile Suits.

The collaboration draws exclusively from the original Mobile Suit Gundam, with the RX-78-2 representing Amuro Ray and the Earth Federation, while the two Zaku variants recreate some of the Principality of Zeon’s most recognizable machines.

Char’s version naturally stands apart through the pink and deeper red tones associated with the Red Comet’s customized Zaku II, rather than simply covering the helmet in a conventional bright red finish.

GRACSHAW has also fitted each collaboration helmet with a dedicated rear ducktail as standard, extending the shape of the Glaive and creating a more mechanical profile when viewed from the side and rear.

The Gundam-edition ducktail was developed specifically for this collaboration and includes official licensing details, with GRACSHAW confirming that it will not be sold separately.

Each design is receiving its own individually numbered production run, with the RX-78-2 Gundam limited to 1,500 helmets and Char’s Zaku II limited to 1,000.

The standard green Zaku II will be considerably harder to find, with only 500 units being produced, bringing the entire collection to just 3,000 helmets worldwide.

Every helmet comes with a matching numbered limited-edition card identifying its place within the production run, alongside a Gundam-themed dust bag, stickers, brand card, and user manual.

All three versions are SIRIM certified for use in Malaysia and are being offered in S, M, L, XL and 2XL sizes, meaning the collaboration has been designed as functional riding equipment rather than merchandise intended purely for display.

The launch continues Gundam’s steady expansion into lifestyle products beyond conventional figures and Gunpla, while giving the RX-78-2 and Zaku designs a particularly fitting translation into protective headgear.

The “GRACSHAW x Mobile Suit Gundam” limited-edition helmets launched in Malaysia on September 7, 2026, and are available exclusively through GRACSHAW authorized dealers while stocks last.

Each design is priced at RM498 (approximately $123 USD / £91 GBP).
