Gundam Card Game reveals release schedule for the rest of 2025

The new Gundam Card Game has laid out an ambitious release schedule for the next six months, with a series of new Starter Decks and Booster Packs announced.
This will expand the game’s universe and introduce more iconic mobile suits and characters from across the franchise’s extensive history.
Four Starter Decks and the “Newtype Rising” booster pack set have already been announced and the next six months will see more decks and boosters become available.
On Saturday, September 27th, the fifth Starter Deck, “Iron Bloom [ST05]”, will be released.
This deck marks the first expansion of the game’s mechanics by introducing a new “purple” card color to the game.

The deck will be themed around the highly popular series “Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans”, which will be making its debut in the Gundam Card Game.

“Iron-Blooded Orphans” is set in a post-apocalyptic future where child soldiers fight in a conflict between Earth and Mars.

The series is known for its grounded, brutal combat and its focus on the bond between the members of the mercenary group Tekkadan, led by protagonists Mikazuki Augus and Orga Itsuka.
The sixth Starter Deck, “Clan Unity [ST06]” will follow later and will feature characters and mobile suits from the latest anime series, “Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX”.

“Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX” recently concluded its TV broadcast and focuses on a protagonist who participates in underground mobile suit duels in a post-One Year War timeline where the Principality of Zeon was victorious.

The name of the second booster pack set has previously been revealed as “Dual Impact [GD02]”.
The “Dual Impact [GD02]” booster pack set promises to be a major release as it will significantly expand the card pool with content from five additional Gundam series.

In addition to more cards from “Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans” and “Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX”, the booster pack set will include cards from “Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam”, “After War Gundam X”, and “Mobile Suit Gundam AGE”.
- Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam (1985):
- A direct sequel to the original “Mobile Suit Gundam,” this series is praised for its darker tone and political intrigue, following a rebel group known as the AEUG as they fight against the tyrannical Titans faction of the Earth Federation.

- After War Gundam X (1996):
- Set in a post-apocalyptic future 15 years after a catastrophic war, this series follows a young Newtype pilot named Garrod Ran as he pilots the powerful Gundam X and searches for other Newtypes.

- Mobile Suit Gundam AGE (2011):
- This series spans three generations of a single family, with each protagonist piloting a different version of the Gundam AGE to fight against a mysterious alien enemy known as the “Unknown Enemy” over a span of a hundred years.

All 5 series are new additions to the card game’s roster of featured series.
New cards will also be included from the 5 series found in the initial set of Starter Decks and the “Newtype Rising” booster pack.
- Mobile Suit Gundam
- Mobile Suit Gundam Wing
- Mobile Suit Gundam SEED
- Mobile Suit Gundam UC (Unicorn)
- Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury

The phased release strategy, with Starter Decks introducing new factions and booster packs expanding on them with additional related cards, is a common and effective approach for new trading card games looking to build a strong player base.
The fifth Starter Deck, “Iron Bloom [ST05]”, will be released on Saturday, September 27th, 2025.

It will be followed on Saturday, October 25th, by the simultaneous release of the sixth Starter Deck, “Clan Unity [ST06]”, and the “Dual Impact [GD02]” booster pack set.
Two more Starter Decks and another booster pack set will be released in January 2026. Their themes will be announced later this year.
