Gundam Base’s Exclusive V Gundam Gunpla Kit Returns for Premium Bandai’s Gundam Summer Festival

The MG 1/100 The Gundam Base Limited Victory Two Assault Buster Gundam Ver.Ka [Titanium Finish] is back in stock at Premium Bandai US, providing a rare online opportunity to pick up one of the more extravagant versions of the V2 Gundam.

Based on Uso Ewin’s Victory Two Gundam from Mobile Suit Victory Gundam, the Assault Buster combines both of the mobile suit’s major equipment packages to create its heavily armed final configuration.

The biggest attraction of this Gundam Base edition is its premium finish, with the V2’s white exterior armor receiving a reflective Titanium Finish while its distinctive gold sections use glossy plating.

Metallic molding colors are also used across the internal frame and weapon parts, helping the mechanical details complement the brighter exterior rather than being overshadowed by the coated armor.

The result gives the already equipment-heavy V2 Assault Buster a much more striking appearance than the standard Ver.Ka release, particularly around the gold armor, large backpack weapons, and layered sections across the shoulders and waist.

Builders are not limited to the fully equipped Assault Buster configuration either, as the additional armor and weapons can be rearranged to recreate the V2 Assault Gundam or V2 Buster Gundam.

The Assault equipment adds the gold armor sections and large Mega Beam Shield, with the latter featuring three detachable barrier bits that add further options when posing the completed model.

Its Buster equipment significantly increases the firepower and overall silhouette with the large Mega Beam Cannon and Spray Beam Pod mounted across the backpack.

The kit also includes the long Mega Beam Rifle, which features an extending barrel alongside deployable details around the grip, targeting sensor, and heat exhaust sections.

A pair of V.S.B.R. units are mounted around the waist and can be deployed using their sliding mechanisms, adding another prominent weapon system without requiring additional handheld equipment.

Six Micro Missile Pods can also be fitted around the waist and legs, with parts included to reproduce their hatches in open or closed configurations.

Combined with the V2 Gundam’s standard weaponry, the Assault Buster equipment creates an unusually dense Master Grade build that can be displayed with everything equipped or stripped back into one of its alternative forms.

The Ver.Ka styling also gives the mobile suit the sharper proportions and extensive mechanical detailing associated with Hajime Katoki’s Master Grade designs, while the large amount of additional equipment gives this version considerably more presence than the standard V2 Gundam.

For collectors who prefer display-focused Gunpla, the combination of Titanium Finish armor, glossy gold plating, metallic mechanical parts, and oversized weaponry makes this one of the most visually distinctive V2 Gundam releases Bandai has produced.

Its return through Premium Bandai US is particularly useful for builders without access to a Gundam Base store, removing the need to rely on third-party sellers for a kit that is usually much harder to purchase directly in the US.
