GrassRoots Releases Stunning Sakura Miku Edition Electric Guitar

Japanese guitar brand GrassRoots has launched a new collaboration instrument featuring the world-famous virtual singer Hatsune Miku.
The “G-STREAM-Miku -SAKURA MIKU Edition-” brings the springtime aesthetic of the digital pop star to life, allowing fans to incorporate their love for Miku into their musical kit.

Created by Crypton Future Media, Hatsune Miku originated as a voice synthesizer before quickly evolving into a massive global pop culture icon.

The Sakura Miku variant gives the character a seasonal makeover, trading her signature teal twin-tails for a bright pink cherry blossom design.

The digital pop star has performed at countless live 3D concerts around the world, capturing the hearts of millions of fans with her energetic music.

Over the years, the famous virtual idol has inspired a massive amount of merchandise, but this latest functional musical instrument is a truly special release.

The electric guitar features a striking two-tone pink finish that perfectly matches the cherry blossom theme.

The solid body is constructed from basswood with a thickness of 4.5 cm, providing a balanced tone for musicians.

It is paired with a bolt-on three-piece hard maple neck and a smooth rosewood fingerboard.

The instrument boasts a 64.8 cm scale length and is fitted with 24 frets for extended high-register playability.

Visually, the guitar stands out with its shining gold hardware, including the bridge, rotomatic-style tuners, and control knobs.

A matching gold pickguard beautifully contrasts the bright pink body, while three white GS-1G single-coil pickups offer a versatile SSS configuration.

Players can easily shape their sound using the master volume knob, master tone knob, and a five-way pickup selector switch.

The neck features unique geometric inlays on the top and standard dot inlays on the side for easy navigation across the fretboard.

The beautiful “G-STREAM-Miku -SAKURA MIKU Edition-” is priced at 85,800 yen (approx. $553 USD / £442 GBP).

To celebrate the launch, a special campaign is currently ongoing at participating retail locations until Wednesday, May 6, 2026.

Fans visiting a store can scan a special QR code to receive an exclusive smartphone wallpaper.

Additionally, customers will receive a special non-sellable promotional guitar pick, limited to one per person while supplies last.
