Final Fantasy TCG Celebrates 10 Years With New “Memories of Life” Booster Set

Square Enix has officially revealed the first details regarding the upcoming “Memories of Life” booster pack for the Final Fantasy Trading Card Game.
This new expansion marks the 30th installment in the Opus series and is a commemorative set celebrating the 10th anniversary of the game’s international launch.

While the game originally debuted exclusively in Japan as the “Chapter” series back in February 2011, it was eventually discontinued and revamped with improved game balance and card designs for a fresh worldwide release under the international Opus format in October 2016.

The new booster introduces a wide array of deck-building strategies by bringing back multi-element non-Limit Break cards for the first time in a while.

Collectors can obtain 118 standard cards alongside 167 premium types, broken down into:
- 130 premium versions of standard cards
- 35 full-art premium cards
- 1 Noir card
- 1 Special card
The highly sought-after Special Card features Shantotto from Final Fantasy XI, boasting a gold-foil stamped signature by artist Fumio Minagawa.

The “Noir” series also returns with a striking Sephiroth card, adding even more appeal for collectors.

Powerful Legacy Card reprints ensure players can utilize these sought-after items in official tournaments alongside standard cards.
The included Legacy Cards are:
- Tifa

- Cyan

- Vegnagun

Booster boxes will contain 18 packs of 12 cards, with each pack guaranteeing at least one premium card.

The set features newly illustrated artwork from an extensive roster of creators:
- Rubi Asami
- Mihoko Ishii
- Ryoma Ito
- Yukihiro Kajimoto
- Gen Kobayashi
- Yasushi Hasegawa
- Fumio Minagawa
- Kaede Yamaguchi
- Miki Yamashita
- Rina Yoshiura
The FFTCG “Memories of Life” booster pack is scheduled for release on November 13, 2026.
Square Enix has also noted that the booster pack includes premium versions of all 12 exclusive cards found in the upcoming Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward Starter Set, which was announced at the same time.

This ready-to-play pre-constructed Ice and Lightning deck provides an exciting experience right out of the box for both newcomers and seasoned veterans.

The set contains 58 total cards split across a 50-card main deck and an 8-card LB deck, alongside two Quick Start Guides.

Five of the 12 brand-new cards feature exclusive newly drawn artwork that beautifully captures iconic heroes and foes from the critically acclaimed Heavensward expansion.

The Haurchefant card will notably include one Full Art Premium version.

The complete lineup of brand-new Starter Set cards includes:
