Exclusive PG 1/60 00 Raiser Gunpla Kit Gets Limited Time US Re-Release

The PG 1/60 00 Raiser has appeared back in stock at Premium Bandai US, giving Gundam 00 fans another opportunity to secure one of the largest and most mechanically complex versions of Setsuna F. Seiei’s signature mobile suit.

Based on the main mobile suit from the second season of Mobile Suit Gundam 00, the kit recreates the combined GN-0000+GNR-010 00 Raiser at the substantial 1/60 scale associated with Bandai’s Perfect Grade range.

The 00 Raiser is formed by combining the twin-drive 00 Gundam with the 0 Raiser support craft, and the kit allows both machines to be built, displayed separately, and joined together in their complete combat configuration.

Once assembled, the 00 Gundam stands approximately 30 cm tall before the 0 Raiser’s large side binders are added to the completed silhouette.

The build consists of more than 1,000 parts and incorporates 201 movable areas across the model, providing the mechanical density and extended assembly experience expected from a flagship Perfect Grade release.

Bandai developed a complete internal frame for the 00 Gundam, allowing builders to construct its mechanical skeleton before fitting the layered white, blue, red, yellow, and clear external armor around it.

The frame adds detailed pistons, joint housings, structural sections, and mechanical surfaces beneath the armor, giving the kit considerable visual detail even during the earlier stages of the build.

Clear and holographic components are used around the GN Condensers and other energy-related sections, helping recreate the glowing green elements that appear throughout the mobile suit in the anime.

One of the kit’s defining attractions is its pair of preassembled GN Drive units, which are installed on either side of the 00 Gundam’s upper body.

Each GN Drive combines an internal flywheel with a motorized rotation mechanism and green illumination, recreating the spinning light effect associated with the Twin Drive System.

The illumination is not limited to the shoulders, as a separate LED unit also allows the completed model’s head and eyes to light up.

This combination of rotating GN Drives and head illumination gives the finished kit a more animated appearance than a model relying entirely on clear plastic to represent its powered sections.

Bandai also created a specialized clutch system to help the large model maintain its poses while supporting the weight of its weapons and equipment.

These clutch mechanisms are incorporated into eight locations across the shoulders, elbows, wrists, and knees, with the surrounding green components representing the 00 Gundam’s GN Condensers.

Pressing the relevant GN Condenser section allows the angle of the joint to be secured, reducing the likelihood of the arms or legs gradually dropping out of position beneath the weight of the completed model.

This is particularly useful when the 00 Gundam is holding the GN Sword III or carrying the additional mass of the 0 Raiser and its side binders.

The legs feature an additional vertical swing mechanism that increases the range available around the hips and improves the model’s ability to create wider and more convincing action poses.

Articulation throughout the internal frame supports bends and rotations across the torso, shoulders, arms, wrists, hips, knees, and ankles, allowing the large model to move beyond a basic standing display.

Rubber sections beneath the feet provide additional contact with the display surface, helping the completed 00 Raiser remain stable during grounded poses.

The 0 Raiser is treated as a complete 1/60-scale support craft rather than a simple backpack, with its own body, cockpit section, wings, binders, mechanical detailing, and weapon mounting points.

It can be displayed independently in its flight configuration or divided into sections and attached to the 00 Gundam to form the 00 Raiser.

The 0 Raiser’s large side binders transform the proportions of the combined model, extending outward around the shoulders and giving it the wide profile seen during the mobile suit’s battles against the A-Laws and Innovators.

Movable connections allow the binders to be repositioned around the body, helping you adjust their angle to suit standing, attacking, and high-speed flight poses.

The kit includes two GN Sword II weapons, each of which can switch between a physical sword configuration and a GN Sword II Rifle mode for ranged attacks.

Chrome-finished blade sections and translucent beam effects add contrast to the GN Sword IIs, while their paired design allows the model to carry one weapon in each hand.

The weapons can also be connected to recreate the combined forms used by the 00 Gundam, adding further display options beyond their standard sword and rifle configurations.

The larger GN Sword III combines a physical cutting edge with a translucent green blade and can be converted between its close-combat and rifle configurations.

Its size makes it one of the kit’s most visually prominent accessories, while the clutch-equipped arm joints help the model maintain two-handed and extended attack poses.

GN Beam Sabers are included for more conventional close-range displays, giving you an alternative to the much larger GN Sword equipment.

The GN Shield can be separated into two sections and attached to the mobile suit, allowing the defensive equipment to be incorporated without completely covering either arm.

Bandai also supplies four additional equipment types for the 0 Raiser, expanding the support craft beyond the configuration most commonly seen in the anime.

These optional weapons consist of GN Missile A/S units, GN Condenser equipment, a particle-disruption missile, and hand missile units.

The additional equipment can be mounted to the 0 Raiser for heavier support-craft configurations or incorporated into displays showing the two machines before they combine.

Foil stickers are provided for selected sensors and smaller color details, while Tetron markings and a Gundam Decal sheet add insignia, identification markings, and technical details across the armor and equipment.

A hologram sheet is also included for the GN-related areas, reinforcing the layered appearance of the condensers and other energy components throughout the build.
