Exclusive Gundam and Hatsune Miku collab action figures get super limited release
Bandai is currently offering a limited-time sale of a set of mini action figures based on the ongoing Gundam and Hatsune Miku collaboration.
The new “Mobile Suit Gundam CAPSULE ACTION ~Hatsune Miku Color Ver.~” figures celebrate the Gundam franchise’s 45th anniversary by blending its iconic mobile suits with the signature aesthetic of virtual singer Hatsune Miku.
The Gundam franchise, which began in 1979, is a cornerstone of anime and mecha culture, recognized globally for its nuanced narratives about war, humanity, and giant robotic mobile suits.
Hatsune Miku, developed by Crypton Future Media, is a virtual pop idol whose distinct turquoise hair and futuristic persona have made her a worldwide phenomenon in music and digital art.
This crossover, which has already seen the release of other exclusive collaboration goods such as acrylic stands, brings together two major pillars of Japanese pop culture in a unique collectible format.
The “CAPSULE ACTION” series features highly articulated, approximately 90mm tall action figures.
For this special collaboration, the lineup includes four variations of two foundational mobile suits: the RX-78-2 Gundam and the MS-06S Char’s Zaku II.
Each mobile suit is available in two different styles:
- Hatsune Miku Color Ver. RX-78-2 Gundam
- Hatsune Miku Color Ver. MS-06S Char’s Zaku II
These versions reimagine the classic mobile suits with Hatsune Miku’s characteristic turquoise and black color scheme.
- Hatsune Miku Clear Color Ver. RX-78-2 Gundam
- Hatsune Miku Clear Color Ver. MS-06S Char’s Zaku II
These offer a translucent variation of the Miku-themed color palette, providing a distinct visual effect.
Each figure stands at approx. 9cm tall and has 38 points of articulation, allowing for dynamic posing, and comes with interchangeable wrist parts and various armaments.
The new action figures are currently available exclusively through the Gashapon Online platform, which offers fans the chance to play an online Gashapon machine.
Each figure in the Mobile Suit Gundam CAPSULE ACTION ~Hatsune Miku Color Ver.~ line is priced at ¥1,500 (tax included).
The price listed is for 1 spin on a virtual Gashapon machine, which operates exactly the same as a physical Gashapon machine in that customers will be given 1 random figure per spin.
It may therefore require multiple spins in excess of the total number of figures to complete the set.
The Gashapon Online sale is active until 11:59 PM JST on June 15th, 2025 and shipping for online orders is set for late September 2025.
It’s possible that these figures may make their way into physical capsule toy vending machines at some point over the coming months, however Bandai have not confirmed a general release window as of this time.
Fans interested in acquiring these limited-edition figures are therefore encouraged to head over to Gashapon Online as early as possible to try and win them.
