Exclusive Demon Slayer Infinity Castle popcorn bucket revealed ahead of premiere

Japanese cinema operator T-Joy has announced a new piece of limited-edition merchandise to commemorate the release of the upcoming film, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Infinity Castle Arc Part 1.
An exclusive “Demon Slayer Memorial Popcorn Bucket” will be sold at participating movie theaters across the country.

Demon Slayer has become a global cultural phenomenon, with its previous film, Mugen Train, breaking box office records both domestically and internationally.

This new film, which adapts the highly anticipated “Infinity Castle Arc” from the original manga, is one of the major cinematic events of the year.

It is a common practice for major film releases in Japan to be accompanied by exclusive, themed merchandise sold only at theaters, ranging from character keychains to special food packaging.
This is one of several food-based promotions that have been announced in the period leading up to the film’s premiere.
Recent collaborations have included Demon Slayer-themed pizzas and Pepsi bottles, as well as the return of Demon Slayer-branded canned coffee after a 5-year break.

This new popcorn bucket is designed to be a collector’s item for fans attending the movie and features a unique interactive gimmick.
The inner walls of the popcorn container can be rotated, revealing different character visuals and illustrations of memorable scenes from the series.

The collectible popcorn bucket will be available for purchase at theaters operated by T-Joy, as well as other participating cinemas nationwide.
Sales for the “Demon Slayer Memorial Popcorn Bucket” are scheduled to begin on the same day as the movie’s premiere.

The film, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Infinity Castle Arc Part 1, is set to be released in Japan on Friday, the 18th of July.

A full list of theaters that will be selling the exclusive popcorn bucket can be confirmed on the product’s official website.
There’s no word on whether or not the film’s international release will include any exclusive merchandise, however, themed popcorn buckets are fairly standard for many major film releases, so fans can likely look forward to something similar when the film launches globally in September.
UPDATE 08/16: Malaysian cinema chain Golden Screen Cinemas have released a new popcorn tin that features an “Infinity LED” lid.
