Evangelion Unleashes New High-Powered Tool Collab Inspired by Unit-01 and Unit-02

The “A.T.FIELD × AERO TOOLS MK-2” comes in two versions based on Evangelion Unit-01 and Unit-02, combining their distinctive color schemes with a high-performance handheld blower capable of producing wind speeds of up to 75 meters per second.

Originally broadcast in 1995, Neon Genesis Evangelion follows Shinji Ikari and a group of teenage pilots recruited to control giant biomechanical machines known as Evangelions, defending humanity against mysterious beings called Angels.

Created by Hideaki Anno, the series became one of Japan’s most influential anime productions, later inspiring the four-part Rebuild of Evangelion movie series, which concluded with Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time in 2021.

The franchise’s distinctive mechanical designs have since inspired an extensive range of merchandise, including the official A.T.FIELD EVANGELION WORK brand, which specializes in functional workwear, tools and protective equipment.

Its name comes from the powerful A.T. Fields generated by Evangelions and Angels in the anime, adapting their protective properties into practical products designed for durability, safety and everyday use.
For its first collaboration with AERO TOOLS, the brand has adapted the manufacturer’s existing MK-2 cordless blower, which has been developed for tasks ranging from drying freshly washed cars to clearing leaves, cleaning garages, and removing dust from difficult-to-reach spaces.

The Unit-01 version features Shinji Ikari’s Evangelion colors, combining a predominantly purple body with bright green and yellow accents inspired by the machine’s armor and mechanical detailing.

The Unit-02 model instead adopts the red, black, and yellow color scheme associated with Asuka’s Evangelion, giving the same underlying tool a dramatically different appearance.

Both designs also feature A.T.FIELD EVANGELION WORK branding and come with special collaboration packaging, incorporating the franchise’s familiar mechanical aesthetic into the presentation.
Despite its powerful airflow, the MK-2 weighs approximately 415 g without its battery and measures 19.6 cm long, 10.9 cm high and 7.6 cm wide, making it compact enough for use around vehicles, workshops and other confined spaces.

Its internal mechanism uses a metal ducted fan and an updated electronic control system, housed inside a molded body designed to provide greater impact resistance than the earlier MK-1 model.
A removable hanging hook is also included for easier storage and transportation, alongside a dedicated black hard carrying case and instruction manual.

The rechargeable blower is compatible with supported 18V Makita batteries and equivalent battery packs, allowing owners of compatible power tools to use their existing batteries rather than requiring a completely separate power system.

AERO TOOLS has already shipped more than 33,000 units across its cordless blower range as of August 2026, with the MK-2 serving as one of its main products.
The latest release joins several other Evangelion-inspired tools developed through the A.T.FIELD brand, including official Unit-01 and Unit-02 shovels introduced in 2025.

The range also includes a new collection of Unit-01 and Unit-00 protective work sneakers, featuring reinforced toe caps and a dial-operated fastening system designed for use in demanding working environments.

Both versions of the “A.T.FIELD × AERO TOOLS MK-2,” priced at ¥31,680 each (approximately $202 / £151), are now available through the official AERO TOOLS online store and participating retailers, including EVANGELION STORE.

The blower comes with its carrying case, but the required battery and charger are sold separately and must be purchased independently if customers don’t already own compatible equipment.
