Wing Gundam Zero is facing one of Gundam Wing’s most persistent enemies again, with Heero Yuy’s powerful Mobile Suit and OZ’s mass-produced Leo appearing together in Bandai’s latest Gashapon figure collection.
“Mobile Suit Gundam MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE 31” puts Wing Zero at the center of a five-item lineup, with a separate expansion set unlocking its Neo Bird Mode transformation and an MS Weapon Set adding further equipment for the Leo and other compatible figures.

MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE is Bandai’s small-scale Gashapon figure line built around interchangeable weapons and standardized connection points, allowing equipment and compatible parts to be swapped between Mobile Suits from across the series.

The Leo is one of the defining mass-produced Mobile Suits of Gundam Wing and is extensively deployed by OZ, placing its pilots repeatedly in the path of Heero and the other Gundam pilots throughout the series.

Its inclusion alongside Wing Gundam Zero therefore brings two opposing sides of the anime back together within the same collection, although the individual figures and equipment remain compatible with the wider MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE range rather than forming a dedicated battle set.
Wing Gundam Zero recreates Heero’s upgraded Mobile Suit from the latter half of Gundam Wing, complete with its shield and Beam Saber, while a separately obtained expansion set adds its Twin Buster Rifle and the components required to transform the figure into Neo Bird Mode.

The complete collection includes:
- “Wing Gundam Zero”

Heero Yuy’s Gundam forms the centerpiece of Vol. 31 and can be combined with the separately obtained expansion set to recreate its transformed Neo Bird Mode.
- “Wing Gundam Zero Expansion Set”

Adds Wing Zero’s Twin Buster Rifle and the additional components needed for its transformation.
- “Leo”

OZ’s mass-produced Mobile Suit joins Wing Zero in the same wave and is compatible with the separate MS Weapon Set.
- “MS Weapon Set”

Adds a machine gun, bazooka, and Dober Gun with shield for the Leo, while the Black Tri-Stars’ Zaku II can use the set’s Giant Heat Hawk and anti-ship rifle.
- “High Mobility Type Zaku II (Black Tri-Stars Custom)”

The Black Tri-Stars’ customized Mobile Suit from Mobile Suit Gundam THE ORIGIN completes the wave and can be equipped with additional weapons from the MS Weapon Set.
Wing Gundam Zero and the Leo’s inclusion in the latest MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE collection comes during an extended period of activity surrounding Mobile Suit Gundam Wing’s 30th anniversary, which has seen Bandai revisit the series through new figures, Gunpla and other collectibles.

Earlier this month, the 30th anniversary Wing Gundam Zero Cloaked Custom premium figure officially returned to the US, giving American collectors another opportunity to obtain the redesigned version introduced through the “operation30th” project.

The Black Tri-Stars have also featured in recent Gundam merchandise, with the elite Zeon team inspiring one of the designs in Gundam’s latest official NEW ERA collaboration.

“Mobile Suit Gundam MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE 31” will begin rolling out through Gashapon machines across Japan during the fifth week of October 2026, with each capsule priced at ¥500 (approx. $3 USD / £2 GBP).
A boxed version will also be sold through toy stores and hobby goods retailers across Japan for ¥550 per figure (approx. $3 USD / £3 GBP), with exact availability varying by region and store.
