Danganronpa Celebrates 15 Years with New Exhibition and Exclusive Merch
Image by James RichardsonThe Danganronpa 15th Anniversary Exhibition is set to continue its nationwide run across Japan this November, bringing an interactive retrospective, exclusive merchandise and a Monokuma-themed mystery game to its next venue.
The latest stop will be held at Telepia Hall in Nagoya following earlier runs in Tokyo and Osaka, with the exhibition looking back across 15 years of the game series through illustrations, setting materials and interactive displays.

Danganronpa began with Spike Chunsoft’s Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc in 2010, establishing the series’ combination of murder mysteries, investigations and Class Trials alongside its recurring conflict between hope and despair.

The anniversary exhibition covers the original game alongside Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, spin-off Ultra Despair Girls and Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony, bringing together material from across the main series rather than focusing on a single killing game.

Visitors will be greeted by newly recorded dialogue from Monokuma before moving through displays including a section featuring more than 60 characters, background and concept artwork, an archive dedicated to the games’ punishment sequences and a mysterious room omitted from the exhibition map.

The exhibition contains major spoilers from throughout the games, making it worth keeping unfinished entries in mind before visiting.

A separate interactive mystery game challenges visitors to secretly investigate clues left around the exhibition and uncover Monokuma’s plan, with the experience expected to take around 30 to 90 minutes in addition to the time needed to explore the main displays.

Participation requires a separate mystery-game ticket, an internet-connected smartphone or tablet and the LINE app, with the game available only in Japanese.

The exhibition shop will carry 47 anniversary products, including acrylic stands, metallic badges, keychains, posters and postcards using specially drawn artwork, alongside Super Danganronpa 2 mini-character goods and trading collections spanning several games.

Other highlights draw more directly from the games themselves, including a menu-screen acrylic diorama, puzzle-solving T-shirts, Monokuma goods, apparel and accessories inspired by familiar imagery from across the series.

Visitors spending at least ¥3,000 (approximately $19 / £14) on merchandise will receive one randomly selected foil-stamped postcard from five designs featuring Monokuma, Monomi and the Monokubs while supplies last.

Tickets for the Nagoya exhibition will go on sale from October 16, with separate options available for general admission, the venue mystery game and a limited-edition merchandise voucher, although the latter two cannot be used for admission on their own.

Entry between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM on the opening weekend will use timed tickets, while admission outside those periods will use tickets valid throughout the wider exhibition run.

The Danganronpa 15th Anniversary Exhibition will run at Telepia Hall in Nagoya from November 28 through December 27, 2026.
The venue will open from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM each day, with final admission at 4:00 PM.
