Danganronpa and Sanrio Announce New Collab with Exclusive Merch Featuring Art by Kei Mochizuki
Image by James RichardsonDanganronpa and Sanrio have officially announced a major new collaboration, which will feature new artwork produced by popular illustrator Kei Mochizuki.
The crossover brings characters from throughout the Danganronpa games together with Hello Kitty, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll, My Melody and several more Sanrio favorites, with the newly drawn artwork appearing across an extensive collection of merchandise.

Danganronpa began in 2010 and built its story around groups of talented students trapped inside deadly killing games, combining murder mysteries and investigations with the series’ fast-paced Class Trials and the chaotic presence of Monokuma.

The new collaboration reaches across the original Danganronpa, Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair and Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony, rather than limiting the collection to a single game.
Among the pairings are Makoto Naegi with Cinnamoroll, Kyoko Kirigiri with Marroncream, Junko Enoshima with Hello Kitty, Celestia Ludenberg with Kuromi and Kiyotaka Ishimaru with Pekkle.

Danganronpa 2 is represented by Hajime Hinata with Tuxedosam, Nagito Komaeda with Cinnamoroll, Chiaki Nanami with My Melody, Gundham Tanaka with Corocorokuririn, Mikan Tsumiki with My Sweet Piano and Ibuki Mioda with Chococat.

The Danganronpa V3 artwork pairs Shuichi Saihara with Pochacco, Kaede Akamatsu with My Sweet Piano, Kokichi Oma with Kuromi, Korekiyo Shinguji with Pokopon’s Diary and Miu Iruma with Goropikadon.

Mochizuki has previously worked across games, music and publishing, with character and illustration credits including Baobhan Sith from Fate/Grand Order, Kyogoku Masamune from Touken Ranbu and Racing Miku 2025 Ver.
The new illustrations form the basis of the entire merchandise range, covering collectibles, apparel and home goods alongside three larger made-to-order reproduction artworks.
