Cyborg 009 Nemesis Teaser Visual Released as Summer 2026 Premiere Confirmed

The official website for the upcoming anime Cyborg 009 Nemesis has released a new teaser visual and confirmed that the series will begin streaming in the summer of 2026.
This new project is based on the legendary manga series Cyborg 009 created by Shotaro Ishinomori, which has seen various adaptations since its debut in 1966.

The teaser visual introduces a new character named Nemesis 009/Graviton, who is voiced by Yuichi Nakamura, known for his role as Satoru Gojo in Jujutsu Kaisen.
Graviton is described as a former special forces operative from the UK who gained the ability to manipulate gravity after sustaining serious injuries in a war zone.
Nakamura described his character as a cold-blooded individual with a conviction to eradicate evil, even if it means acting as a structural villain in the story.

The plot follows a group of nine cyborgs known as Nemesis who believe that the original 009 team can no longer maintain world peace on their own.
Hideki Anbo is directing the series at the animation studio ARECT with screenplays provided by Atsuhiro Tomioka and Charatex.
Character designs for the production are being handled by sanorin, while the official taglines emphasize a theme of generational change.
The original manga was serialized intermittently until Ishinomori’s death in 1988, with the last major television iteration, Cyborg 009: The Cyborg Soldier, airing from 2001 to 2002.
Fans can expect the series to premiere during the summer 2026 season as part of the continued legacy of one of Japan’s most influential sci-fi works.
